Wycombe boss Lawrie Sanchez should have Johnny Dixon available for the match against Sheffield Wednesday.
The forward was forced to sit out Monday's defeat against Grimsby with a dead-leg sustained in the 3-3 draw with Chesterfield.
Gavin Holligan came through a reserve outing unscathed during the week and returns to the squad.
Long-term absentees Craig Faulconbridge and Keith Ryan remain on the sidelines.
Robbie Mustoe is expected to make his debut for Sheffield Wednesday.
The former Middlesbrough midfielder has been sidelined since sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-season training after arriving on a free transfer from Charlton.
But in-form striker Shefki Kuqi will sit out the first of a three-match ban following his dismissal against Oldham.
Boss Chris Turner must decide how best to accommodate Mustoe and he could revert to a 3-5-2 formation to bolster his midfield.
Turner has no other new injury or suspension problems.
