AFC Bournemouth v Bristol City

Bournemouth manager Sean O'Driscoll is sweating on the fitness of striker Steve Fletcher ahead of the clash with Bristol City.

Fletcher has been unable to train in the lead-up to the game because of a shoulder injury, and is the main doubt ahead of the game at Dean Court.

Jason Tindall could be in line to return from knee trouble, while fellow defenders Neil Young and Warren Cummings both made their comebacks from injury in the win at Wrexham last weekend and have reported no after-effects to their ankle problems.

Bristol City manager Danny Wilson faces a midfield selection headache ahead of the game.

Veteran Brian Tinnion has pleaded with Wilson to be allowed the chance to play 90 minutes after being named on the bench on all six of the club's matches so far this term.

However Mickey Bell and Matthew Hill are also in the mix, while Aaron Brown made a successful return following a seven-game suspension against Grimsby last weekend.

Brentford striker Peter Beadle returns from a three-match ban for the clash with Plymouth.

But Paul Smith is still suspended, so understudy Alan Julian will continue in goal.

Bees boss Wally Downes is without Kevin O'Connor and Matt Somner on international duty with the Republic of Ireland and Wales Under-21 squads respectively.

So Stephen Hunt should return to the starting line-up for the first time since he suffered a bruised leg, with Lee Fieldwick also set to step in.

Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock will be forced to make at least one change to his line-up for the trip because Tony Capaldi is on international duty.

Capaldi has been called up by Northern Ireland for their European Under 21 Championship game against Ukraine.

Paul Connolly is fit again and back in the frame. The 19-year-old defender suffered a virus at the start of the week but proved his fitness in the reserve match against Bristol City.

Connolly replaced injured right-back David Worrell (groin) for the draw with Brighton.

Preview: Brighton v Swindon

Brighton have fitness doubts over Simon Rodger and Paul Watson ahead of the clash with Swindon.

Rodger has been receiving treatment on a groin injury, while Watson has torn fibres in the tendons in both his feet.

Darius Henderson is available after Reading allowed him to remain on loan with the Seagulls for another month, although Nathan Jones is still suspended.

Swindon have been boosted with the news goalkeeper Rhys Evans will be available.

Evans had been on standby for the England Under-21 squad for the game with Macedonia, but is no longer required.

The Robins are also hoping clearance will have arrived from the Football League for new loan signing James Milner to play.

Preview: Chesterfield v Barnsley

Mark Innes could make his first start of the season for Chesterfield in the home clash with Barnsley.

Innes has not kicked a ball in anger so far after sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-season but has now returned to full fitness.

Steve Payne will also be available for the visit of Gudjon Thordarson's team. Payne needed four stitches in a head wound sustained during last weekend's defeat at QPR but has now made a full recovery.

Barnsley chief Thordarson is missing Chris Lumsdon for the trip.

The midfielder received a one-match ban following his dismissal against Brighton.

Meanwhile, Dean Gorre (hamstring), Tony Gallimore (knee) and Ben Kay (toe) are all doubtful.

Preview: Colchester v QPR

Colchester boss Phil Parkinson is set to name an unchanged side for the clash with QPR.

Rookie goalkeeper Dean Gerken will continue to stand in for number two keeper Richard McKinney on the substitutes' bench.

McKinney visited a specialist on Thursday in an attempt to discover the extent of a knee problem.

Defender Joe Keith and Craig Fagan, a striker on loan from Birmingham, could both feature after playing in the reserves' 2-0 defeat at Peterborough in midweek, while Andy Myers is fit again after hobbling off with a dead leg at Tranmere.

QPR manager Ian Holloway will throw Arthur Gnohere straight into the squad for the clash after the defender joined the club on a month's loan from Burnley.

The French centre-back will provide cover in the absence of Clarke Carlisle, who is receiving treatment for an alcohol-related illness which will sideline him for four weeks.

Marc Bircham will miss out after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury in training. Richard Pacquette made his comeback from a hamstring injury in the reserves this week but is short of match fitness.

Preview: Grimsby v Peterborough

Grimsby boss Paul Groves welcomes back Marcel Cas for the home clash with Peterborough.

The defender was banned for the 1-0 defeat at Bristol City after being sent off in the Carling Cup defeat at Doncaster.

Darren Mansaram (groin) and Iain Anderson (knee) are both long-term injury victims, while Darren Barnard is away on international duty in Italy with the Wales squad.

Peterborough boss Barry Fry could be without three key players ahead of the trip.

Mark Arber and Leon McKenzie have not trained all week and are very doubtful for the clash, while Christopher Kanu definitely misses out through suspension.

Arber is hoping to overcome a thigh strain, while McKenzie is battling an ankle knock, with Fry keeping his fingers crossed both will make it as he is struggling for options in the back four.

Preview: Hartlepool v Oldham

Hartlepool striker Eifion Williams is expected to return to the squad for the home game against Oldham.

Last season's top scorer has missed Pools' last three matches with a knee ligament injury but returned to training on Thursday and will be in contention.

New signing Ryan McCann played in a practice match at the club's training ground this week and is also added to the squad.

The free transfer signing from Celtic is still short of match fitness, however, and is unlikely to make manager Neale Cooper's starting line-up.

On-loan striker Calvin Zola is in line to make his Oldham debut at Victoria Park.

Zola joined the Latics on a month's loan from Newcastle but missed last weekend's 3-2 win over Rushden through illness.

Midfielder Danny Boshell and centre-back Danny Hall also return to Iain Dowie's squad for the trip. The pair were suspended for the Rushden game

Preview: Notts County v Luton

Notts County manager Billy Dearden could be reduced to just 13 fit professionals ahead of the home clash with Luton.

Dearden has doubts over groin injury victim Simon Baldry, plus dead leg victims Nick Fenton and Ian Richardson.

Steve Jenkins has been plagued by a hamstring injury, Tony Hackworth has reported knee problems while keeper Saul Deeney and midfielder Michael Brough have been called up for Under-21 duty by the Republic of Ireland and Wales respectively.

But Mark Stallard is expected to take his place in the squad after a scan revealed he suffered severe bruising in the defeat to Peterborough and not a fracture as first feared.

Luton captain Kevin Nicholls will miss the trip with a knee injury. Nicholls went under the knife this week for an operation on the injury, which has plagued him since last season.

His absence leaves Mike Newell's squad even more stretched in Steve Howard's last game before a ban. Loan signing Courtney Pitt is sidelined with an Achilles injury, while Russell Perrett (groin), Lee Mansell (ankle) and Steve Robinson (back) are also out.

Preview: Rushden & Diamonds v Wycombe

Rushden forward Rodney Jack is a slight doubt with a toe injury for the home meeting with Wycombe.

Jack missed training on Thursday with the problem, but Andy Edwards is available as he plays his last game before a one-match suspension.

Striker Onandi Lowe is also set to play despite being called up by Jamaica for the match against Australia at the Madjeski Stadium.

Defender Marcus Bignot is a doubt with a hamstring strain, and the Wycombe match has come too soon for midfielder Richie Hanlon, who is recovering from a long-term knee injury. Midfielder Stuart Wardley is still out of action with a stomach problem.

Wycombe boss Lawrie Sanchez has threatened to wield the axe if his side do not improve against Diamonds. The Chairboys have lost three of their last four matches, and Sanchez has demanded a big improvement.

Midfielder Keith Ryan returned from a hernia operation in the reserves this week but will not feature. Striker Craig Faulconbridge (knee) and centre-back Luke Oliver (ankle) remain sidelined.

Preview: Sheffield Wednesday v Tranmere

Sheffield Wednesday boss Chris Turner has a fully-fit squad to choose from as his side hope to continue their impressive start to the season against Tranmere.

Striker Shefki Kuqi and Alan Quinn are both missing, however, as the duo are on international duty with Finland and the Republic of Ireland respectively.

Adam Proudlock is in the squad after signing from Wolves for an undisclosed fee.

Rovers boss Ray Mathias will make a late decision on defenders Shane Nicholson and Tyrone Loran.

Nicholson (toe) missed training on Wednesday and Loran is stepping up his training again following a knee ligament injury, but both are doubts for the trip.

Goalkeeper John Achterberg is expected to recover from a slight knock to his foot, and stand-in goalkeeper Russ Howarth should travel to Sheffield after being on England Under-21 duty.

Preview: Stockport County v Port Vale

Stockport boss Carlton Palmer could include new loan signing Shaun Smith in the squad to face Port Vale, if the left-back is registered in time.

Aaron Wilbraham is back after missing the trip to Peterborough with a neck injury and Wayne Collins has also recovered from an ankle injury.

Martin Pemberton is recovering well from a knee problem, but is unlikely to feature against the Valiants.

Table-topping Port Vale will be without Michael Cummins after the midfielder sustained a knee injury during last weekend's clash with Brentford.

Although Cummins will be out of action for a few weeks, the 25-year-old is relieved that surgery will not be required.

Steve Brooker made a successful return from injury last weekend and will stay in the side after reporting no after-effects, although keeper Mark Goodlad remains on the sidelines with a finger injury.

Preview: Boston v Scunthorpe

Boston manager Neil Thompson is without three key players and will make late decisions over another two ahead of the visit of Scunthorpe.

Alex Higgins (thigh), Graeme Jones (knee) and Simon Weatherstone (knee) have been ruled out, while Tom Bennett (knock) and Stuart Balmer (groin) are rated 50-50.

Matt Hocking is free to play, although he will start a one-match suspension next week after his sending-off against Hull last weekend.

Scunthorpe counterpart Brian Laws has Nathan Stanton as a major doubt for the trip and may replace him with Cliff Byrne, who would play his second game in 24 hours.

Stanton has severe bruising on his thigh from the Oxford game and is doubtful, while Byrne is rushing back from Republic of Ireland Under-21 duty to be considered for the game.

Meanwhile, midfielder Matthew Sparrow sits out the final game of a three-match ban.

Torquay playmaker Jason Fowler will have a late fitness test before the home game against Leyton Orient.

Russell is set to resume his pivotal role in the Gulls' starting line-up.

Preview: Yeovil Town v Swansea City

Yeovil are set to hand a debut to loan signing Ronnie Bull for the home clash with table-topping Swansea.

The 22-year-old defender has been training with the Glovers this week after joining for a month from Millwall.

Yeovil are also set to be boosted by the return of fit-again wing-back Nick Crittenden, who has recovered from a thigh injury, but top scorer Kevin Gall is away on international duty with the Wales Under-21 squad.

Swansea director of football Brian Flynn is boosted by the return of Brad Maylett and the arrival of Richard Jones for the trip.

Winger Maylett sat out last week's 4-1 win against Mansfield through suspension, while Jones returned to the club on a season-long loan from Southampton this week.

The Wales Under-19 international is expected to start in the centre of midfield, with Roberto Martinez (knee), Lenny Johnrose (hamstring) and Karl Connolly (calf) all sidelined.

York player-manager Chris Brass is sweating on the fitness of Darren Edmondson ahead of Rochdale's visit to Bootham Crescent.

The wing-back suffered a hamstring strain during City's 3-0 defeat at Lincoln and faces a late fitness test.

Brass is back in contention after completing a three-match ban for his sending-off at Carlisle on the opening day of the campaign.

Stuart Wise (knee) and Christian Fox (ankle) could also return.

Rochdale boss Alan Buckley has no new injury problems ahead of the trip, but Chris Shuker starts a suspension following his sending-off against Cambridge.

The 21-year-old Manchester City midfielder sits out the first game of a three-match ban, having extended his loan spell at Spotland.

Iceland - Germany
Winning twice against Faroe Islands and Lithuania, have given Iceland an accidental pole position in Group 5 ahead of Germany. It will be a massive game for Iceland on Saturday at home to Germany, but I do not give the Icelandic team much of a chance. I trust the Germans to show their superior quality, when it really matters. Ballack could not play for Germany in the friendly against Italy, but he is back for this match, as well as Arne Friedrich. Paul Freier is definitely out, and Tobias Rau is suspended. Sebastian Deisler could replace Freier, but also Rahn and Hartmann are very much in contention. Schneider, Ballack, Deisler, Jeremies and Ramelow, sound like an extremely strong midfield quintet. Today Thursday, there were still some doubts concerning the fitness of Schneider and Jeremies. Iceland are relying on the Chelsea forward Eidur Gudjohnsen to score the goals, and he has scored 6 goals this far in the group games. For this match he has been made the Icelandic captain, and his forward colleague will be the Watford striker Helgusson. I back Germany to win this away qualifier, and the price is 1.70. Never an outstanding price.

Armenia - Greece
Same limited price (1.70) on the Greek win away to Armenia. Greece have a string of positive results lately, for instance winning away to Spain, and they are worthy leaders of their qualifying group. I first noticed the Greek improvement in a World Cup qualifier away to England, when Beckham scored the overtime equalizer. Lucky England, as Greece played the better football. Recently I saw them in a friendly away to Sweden, and down 0-1 they managed to defeat the Swedes 2-1. Greece have always had talented footballers, but traditionally they have been more interested in their club performances. Obviously the coach Rehhagel has managed to get the Greek individualist to function as a united team. No significant problems for the Greeks, and only Tsartas is out. Armenia have drawn with Ukraine and defeated N Ireland in their two home matches, so they are not entirely without possibilities. Still an away win for the Greece! (1.70).

Republic of Ireland - Russia
Ireland are unbeaten since their new manager Kerr took over business - 7 games ago. They have a home match against Russia, and a home win looks likely. These nations have opposite form curves. Ireland lost their two opening qualifiers, changed their manager and have started winning again, but Russia winning their first two games, have only picked up one point in their three following matches, all away from home. Losses against Albania and Georgia and a good point away to Switzerland. 2-3 weeks ago, Russia lost a friendly game at home to Israel, and the Russian coach left his job. Russia have the potential, but nowadays there is too much hanky panky business, and too little football. Difficult, as football is a collective sport. Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Khokhlov is out of the match. Robbie Keane is out for Ireland, and Alan Lee deputises. Damien Duff is of course the key player in the Irish side, and his probable striking partner should be Clinton Morrison. Lee Carsley is back to fitness. A home win, and the price is 2.00.

Italy - Wales
Unfortunately you can only have 1.40 on the Italian home win against Wales. Group final and all that, but Italy are too strong for the Welsh fighters. One Italian set back however, as their playmaker Totti is out injured. Miccoli is also unavailable. Gattuso and Pippo Inzaghi are new to the side, and expect Inzaghi to replace Totti, alongside Vieri, and del Piero playing in his left position. Bellamy could be back for Wales, but in that case it will not be a popular decision with the Newcastle manager Robson. He should absolutely not play, according to Robson. Too early for Bellamy, seen from the Newcastle perspective. With or without Bellamy, I fail to see any Wales success in this extremely difficult qualifier, taking place in Rome. Still the price on Italy is a let down! (1.40).

Azerbadjan - Finland
Finland are playing some decent football, and even their clubs are beginning to actually win matches in European cups. I am thinking of Haka and Mypa. Most of their players are of course playing on the highest level out in Europe these days. They cannot qualify from their group, but they are using their best side away to Azerbadjan. No wonder, it is still a Euro 2004 qualifier. Only Jari Litmanen is still injured. The home side is missing an absolute key player, as their leading scorer, Gurban Gurbanov is injured. He has scored 3 of the 4 Azerbadjan goals. Kerimov is suspended, but Vasilyev, Mannado and Gafitulin all return to the home squad. An away win for Finland, and the price is 1.85.

Some low priced sides you can use, and some others you feel better by omitting. As always it is an individual opinion, but in my mind the Netherlands (1.22) at home to Austria, and Ukraine (1.20) at home to N. Ireland look to be the safest winners, OK, there are games like Sweden vs. San Marino and Rumania vs. Luxemburg and so on , but there is a limit to everything - you cannot use prices like 1.02 can you? Both the Dutch national side and Ukraine will have their best sides on duty, and that piece of information is enough for me. Austria and N. Ireland will of course be beaten!

Belarus - Czech Republic
The Czech Republic are without much ado top Europe at the moment, and I suggest that they will be too strong for Belarus, even though Belarus have the home advantage. Nedved, Rosicky, Koller, Baros, Smicer - I could go on forever, and no wonder that the Netherlands failed to beat this Czech side in Holland. The Czech side will be at full strength. Belarus have managed to beat Moldavia, 2-1, in a home match, and that is all the positive news I can come up with concerning them. Khatskevich and Belkevich, both playing for D Kiev, will not play this match. An away win, and the best price is 1.45.

F Y R Macedonia - England 9.00 - 1.42
I am looking for upsets, but they are hard to find among all these EURO qualifiers. Maybe Macedonia, that drew. 2-2 away to England, have a better chance than the price indicates? Macedonia, with a new coach, have recalled their 4 prodigal sons, Hristov, Mitreski, Gjuzelo and Stavierski. These players refused to play under their previous coach. Sedloski is suspended and Popov is injured, but Stojanvski will return. Best known player, except maybe Hristov and Mitreski, is the WBA player Sakiri. England will be without Paul Scholes, Gerrard, Sinclair and Ferdinand. Owen and Rooney the likely forward duo. England need the three points, Macedonia play for their pride. England can often under perform against inferior sides, especially when they play in England, but away from home when the home nations try to attack, it often suits Eriksson's type of game so much better. So in my mind, England should collect the three points, but still the 9.00 offered on the Macedonian home win is a huge price, is it not?

Bosnia/Herzegovina - Norway 3.60 - 2.20
Bosnia have to go for the win, to have any chance of advancing. Maybe Norway will take advatage of an optimistic home side? Bosnia will be without the Galatasaray striker Elvir Baljic and the D Zagreb striker Bartolovic as well. Still the Bayern ace Salihamidzic is back, and Barbarez, Bolic, Konjic, Hibic and Music will all play this match. Norway will be at full strength! Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer has been injured this last week, but he should fit. Carew and Flo are the other strikers, and they could be short of match practice. Carew has yet to play, and Flo just started for Siena. Tricky game, but at the end of the day, maybe my neighbours from Norway!

Slovenia - Israel 1.85 - 4.70
Slovenia have an excellent home record in competitive games, and they have not been beaten since 1998 - 15 matches! They played Israel in Turkey in the away encounter, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw, Slovenia only to happy to defend for the full of 90 minutes. Now they are of course expected to go for the win. They are hurt by the absence of three suspended players, captain Pavlin, Gajser and Vugdalic, add to those the injured defenders Bulajic and Tavcar. Israel welcome back the Man City midfielder Berkovic to their side, and they have no major problems to deal with. Israel had an impressive away win against Russia a few weeks ago, in a friendly, I have to add, but still, they are not harmless. I have to sidestep the home bet, but I am not ready to back on the away win either.

Latvia - Poland 3.00 - 2.45
Southampton forward Pahars is back for the Latvian team. Great news for the home side! Poland miss the famous striker Olisadebe, but the German based players Karwan, Kaluzny and Kukielka all return to their side. All important match about the second place in the group behind Sweden. Latvia won sensationally away to Poland, and in their home games they have yet to let in a goal. Still I hold Poland as the better side, but they so often under perform. They have many very competent European footballers in their side, and they are probably motivated favourites. Revenge for Poland, maybe? The price is 2.45.

Two English first division encounters

Gillingham - Millwall 2.50 - 2.70
Gillingham have performed better away from home so far, accidental or not, it is too early to say. After two home games the have yet to score. Their player/manager Hessenthaler could be back on the bench on Saturday, and the same goes for Rod Wallace. Both Paul Smith and Kevin James are also back in contention, and the Gils squad look strong again. Millwall are unbeaten after 5 rounds, but they have not exactly impressed. Good sign in itself! They drew at home to a depleted Crystal P side last week - a poor result in my opinion. Livermore and Paul Robinson are both pushing for recalls to the starting line up. No real opinion here, so why not the draw (3.00).

Stoke - Burnley 2.00 - 3.55
Burnley have two straight wins, and they have some interesting new players ahead of this meeting with Stoke. Glen Little has left the club, but the Premiership footballers Delroy Facey, Gareth Farrelly and Andy Todd have all become Burnley players, at least for a month. Boden - Trelleborg
Boden gör i dagsläget inga förändringar sedan senast.

- Det är väl 30-70 att han spelar eller möjligen 40-60. I övrigt är vi ordinarie. Vårt nyförvärv från Halmstad Patrik Redo är aktuell för debut, berättar Trelleborgs tränare Ulf Larsson.

Falkenberg - Norrköping
Patrik Lundgren är tillbaka efter avstängning hos Falkenberg.
- I övrigt är vi ordinarie. Nye Andreas Drugge är spelklar till nästa match. Men det är bra om Norrköping tror att han debuterar i den här matchen, säger Falkenbergs tränare Örjan Glans.
Norrköping har ingen spelare skadad eller avstängd.
- Enda frågetecknet är Gudmundur Mete, som är iväg med det isländska U21-landslaget och spelar. Vi får se i vilket skick han kommer tillbaka, säger Norrköpings tränare Stefan Hellberg.

IFK Malmö - Kalmar FF
Malmö har inför matchen sparkat tränaren Patrik Johansson och ersatt honom med sportchefen Göran "Fille" Ohlsson.
Inga förändringar i laget sedan senast hos hemmalaget.
Hos Kalmar är Dennis Nilsson tillbaka. Sedan tidigare är två spelare långtidsskadade, nämligen Håkan Lindqvist och Krister Andersson.

Sylvia - Café Opera
Pär Andersson är avstängd också i denna match för Sylvia. Frågetecken är det för Lasse Ström.
- Mikael Cupan är dock tillbaka och det ser ganska bra ut, förutom avstängningen på Pelle, säger Sylvias tränare Mats Karlsson.
Café Opera gör inga förändringar sedan förra veckan.
- Vi har inga nya skador eller avstängningar, säger tränaren Kjell Jonevret.

Västerås - Forward
Västerås har Patric Feltendahl och Patrik Larsson avstängda.
Forward har inga nya skador eller någon avstängd sedan senast.

Åtvidaberg - Brommapojkarna
Åtvidaberg har lånet från Djurgården, Blaise Mbemba avstängd.
- Det är ett riktigt tungt avbräck, då han varit en av våra bästa spelare under tidiga hösten, säger tränaren Steve Creutz.
BP har frågetecken för Mattias Johansson och får klara sig utan Andreas Bild, som är avstängd.

Skellefteå - Robertsfors
Hemmalaget har ingen seger på de tre senaste matcherna och har bara sex gjorda mål på hemmaplan den här säsongen.
Robertsfors kommer till matchen med en färsk seger mot IFK Östersund i bagaget. Robertsfors vann förra säsongens båda möten lagen emellan med 1-0.

Tyresö - Essinge/Vasalund
Båda lagen har varsin storförlust bakom sig. Tyresö har vunnit fem av sina åtta hemmamatcher den här säsongen.
Lagen är indragna i bottenstriden, där det bara skiljer en poäng mellan de båda.

Grimsås - Myresjö
Grimås kommer till matchen med fyra raka förluster. På de två seanste matcherna har laget släppt in sex mål och nio på de fyra senaste.

GAIS - Trollhättan
GAIS jagar vidare mot kvalet till Superettan. Laget har gjort i snitt fyra mål per match på de fyra senaste matcherna! Trollhättan hade 4-1 mot Glenn Hyséns Torslanda senast men tappade till förlust med 4-5. Det var lagets första förlust på fyra matcher.

IFK Hässleholm - Lund
Hässleholm har bara en seger på hemmaplan den här säsongen. Inget av de båda lagen har någon seger på de fem senaste matcherna. Lund har drabbats av måltorka, då man bara gjort två mål på de fem senaste matcherna.

Sverige - San Marino
Frågetecken är det för Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Marcus Allbäck är i full träning efter sin skada men det lutar åt att han vilar till matchen mot Polen. Skadekänning också på målvakten Andreas Isaksson men han ska också kunna spela. Niklas Skoog och Mattias Jonson väntas bli det svenska anfallsparet. I försvaret kan Mikael Dorsin få göra sin stora debut.
San Marino saknar sin bäste spelare, anfallaren Andy Selva, som är avstängd.

Lettland - Polen
Lagen saknar varsin spelare. Marian Pahars är borta hos Lettland.
Hos Polen kommer inte Emmanuel Olisadebe till spel.

Slovenien - Israel
Slovenien har Musamer Vugalic avstängd och Miram Pavlin skadad men store stjärnan Zlatko Zahovic är med i truppen.
Israel får tillbaka tidigare skadade Eyal Berkovic.

Bosnien-Hercegovina - Norge
Inga större bekymmer för Bosnien.
Norge kallade sent in Tore André Flo och han väntas gå rakt in i startelvan, då John Carew dels är ur form och dels har lättare skadekänning.

Holland - Österrike
Holland mönstrar bästa tänkbara lag med Ruud van Nistelrooy och Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink i spetsen.
Österrike saknar tre spelare, som alla är avstängda. Det är tre tunga avbräck, då det rör sig om tysklandsproffsen Harald Cerny, Markus Wassenberger och Martin Stranzl.

Vitryssland - Tjeckien
Inget lagen har några större skadebekymmer att brottas med. Tjeckien har rest med bästa tänkbara manskap och ställer ett mycket rutinerat lag på benen.

Island - Tyskland
Hemmalaget är ordinarie, även om det har varit viss tveksamhet kring Eidur Gudjohnsens medverkan.
Hos Tyskland är Sebastian Deisler tillbaka i laget för första gången sedan maj 2002. Han har nu kommit över sina skadeproblem. Paul Freier saknas på vänsterkanten.

Ukraina - Nordirland
Det finns visst frågetecken kring Andrej Sjevtjenkos medverkan. Han ådrog sig en lättare skada i Serie A-premiären mot Ancona i måndags. Förhoppningen i Ukrainalägret är dock att han spelar. Förbundskaptenen har kallat in tre spelare från U21-laget till den här matchen.
Nordirland har inga större bekymmer vad gäller skador eller avstängningar.

Makedonien - England
Makedonien skrällde som bekant i bortamötet med England och grejade då 2-2. Nu blir det betydligt tuffare, då man har tre spelare avstängda. Varken Igor Jancevski, Goce Sedloski eller Aleksandar Vasoski kan vara med. Däremot spelar tidigare Halmstadsspelaren och West Bromwich-proffset Artim Sakiri från start.
Svennis får avstå mittfältarna Paul Scholes, Trevor Sinclair och Steven Gerrard, som alla är avstängda. Dessa väntas ersättas av Frank Lampard, Owen Hargreaves och Nicky Butt. I försvaret saknas Rio Ferdinand. Hans plats väntas tas av John Terry. I anfallet är Michael Owen given men det är öppet om vem som blir hans anfallspartner. Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney och James Beattie är det som slåss om den återstående platsen. Där tänker inte Svennis fatta ett beslut förrän timmen innan match.

Bulgarien - Estland
Bulgarien saknar Svetoslav Todorov som är långtidsskadad. Förbundskaptenen Plamen Markov är dock inte orolig, då han anser sig ha en fullgod ersättare i Stilian Petrov.
Inga större skadebekymmer finns hos esterna. Oron finns dock över Andreas Oper, som har visat dålig form under tidiga hösten i sitt klubblag Torpedo Moskva.

Wales - Italien
Wales har frågetecken för Craig Bellamy, som har skadekänning men det troliga är att han spelar. Skulle han ändå avstå spel ersätter Kevin Davies.
I försvaret saknas Danny Gabbidon. Ersätter honom gör Andy Melville.
Italiens förbundskapten Trapattoni byter spelsystem, sedan Francesco Totti skadat sig. Han frångår 4-2-3-1 och spelar i stället med 4-3-1-2, där Alessandro del Piero blir släpande anfallare bakom Tottis ersättare, Flippo Inzaghi och Christian Vieri.

Azerbajdzjan - Finland
Azererna har drabbats av ett mycket tungt avbräck då lagets bäste målgörare, Gurban Gurbanov, som gjort tre av lagets fyra mål i kvalet, inte kan vara med på grund av ryggskada. Dessutom är försvararen Aslan Kerimov avstängd.
Finland har rest till Azerbajdzjan utan ordinarie lagkaptenen Jari Litmanen, som är hälskadad. Man väljer att vila honom för att han hon tillgänglig framöver i stället.

Irland - Ryssland
Irland sätter in två rutinerade kort mot Ryssland. Både Lee Carsley och Steven Reid är tillbaka efter skador.
Rysslands nye förbundskapten Georgi Jartsev har tagit tillbaka några gamla kämpar, som blev utrensade ur truppen av Valerij Gassajev.
Både Aleksandr Mostovoi och Dimitrij Alejnitjev är tillbaka i laget och Victor Onopko har fått tillbaka lagkaptensbindeln. En spelare saknas och det är Lokomotiv Moskvas Dimitrij Khoklov men det är en skada som Jartsev anser sig ha täckning för( Svenska Spel, Tip-Ex, Ananova)
