Cottbus exited the Cup on Tue in Koblenz after Extra Time. Looked more up to it in the 90 min than they did at Paderborn last Sat, when they looked like losing on purpose. If I had my head on the block and was asked to save my neck by answering to the question if Cottbus players performed badly on purpose last weekend (to get rid of Wollitz or the new top management), I would have to go for: yes they did. The way they gave space for Paderborn to score was amazing. The missed penalty for 2-2 was as bad. Cottbus have a long "injury" list here too. FSV play poorly away from home, but are a bit surprisingly (after many good summer signings) bottom of the table. Like last weekend FSV are missing their best summer buy Coulibaly.
Oberhausen - Duisburg 34 27 39
o/u 2,5: 54 46
Ruhr derby. Oberhausen went out of the Cup on Tue 0-5 @ Bayern. Also on Tue Duisburg took a slightly surprising 1-0 win at top flight neighbours Gladbach. They did however lose their top scorer and the star of the U21 final in June Sandro Wagner to a bad injury. He has scored 5 of MSV's 10 league goals this season.
Union Berlin - Ahlen 66 23 11
o/u 2,5: 53 47
Table toppers Union Berlin are unlikely to fight for promotion later in the season, but will be tough to beat at home in the euphoric atmosphere. Union Berlin was lucky to get a point at Koblenz last weekend. Ahlen look the poorest side so far. The o/u is a bit tricky here. After 2 laboured 1-0 home wins (Fortuna & Hansa), Union Berlin was flying vs Paderborn and took an early 3-0 lead, but won only 5-4 in the end.
