Ahead, of their last home game, a 2-1 win over Ajaccio, I wrote this about Le Havre ....

My goodness, Le Havre have proved frustrating over the last two seasons, at times they have been useless, at others, on a going day, unplayable. However, after a slow start under coach Thierry Goudet who took charge at the end of last year, he seems to have got a degree of consistency into his troops, they are unbeaten in five, including scoring six in winning their last two home starts and twice in a draw at leaders Troyes last time out. Goudet has also had a little luck with injuries and names the same squad for the third match running today, which is very rare in Ligue 2. They will fancy their chance today, having won the reverse fixture 1-0 and with Ajaccio having failed to score in five of eight and arriving short handed, without a handful of players including left back Paul Babiloni and midfielders Benoit Pedretti and captain and hugely experienced Johan Cavalli, these two are amongst the first names on the team sheet and big losses with HAC so strong through the middle and this is a game the hosts really ought to win.

They had to do things the hard way, conceding a penalty and receiving a red card inside 10 minutes, but battling back to earn the win. There was so much to like about the mental strength they showed that day, that perhaps has been the thing they have been missing and I bet they wish we had 20 and not 11 games of the season left to play. As it is, they are eight points off top 3 pace and will surely at least give a run at the promotion spots their everything over the next two months, there is nothing else to play for and they do meet four of the main contenders for an automatic places in their next five starts, so the chance to take points off the teams they are looking to catch. They get Zargo Toure back today after he was suspended for the 1-1 draw at Dijon last week, their seventh game unbeaten.

Orleans look a good opponent, they look secure in lower mid table and lost a little tamely at home to struggling Valenciennes last weekend. They do record a lot of draws and have scored in their last nine away starts in all competitions, given that HAC have also conceded in their last eight home games , will gamble for the three points and that the two played out a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture, I can easily see goals today and cannot agree with the goal line odds.
