Man Utd rest key players

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has rested several key players for his team's Champions League match with Deportivo La Coruna.

With United already assured of qualification from their group, Ryan Giggs is one of the few experienced players making the trip.

The likes of David Beckham, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Fabien Barthez and Rio Ferdinand have all been rested as Ferguson makes sure his key players are fresh for their Premiership challenge.

Scottish Under-21 international Darren Fletcher could make another start after impressing during last week's 1-1 draw with Basle.

Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, John O'Shea and Laurent Blanc are also set to start against Deportivo, who have no chance of qualifying from the group.

Deportivo cannot qualify after their dramatic defeat by Juventus last week.

But coach Javier Irureta is still likely to field a strong side as he looks to maintain momentum for the important Spanish league clash with Real Madrid at the weekend.

Roy Makaay scored his 20th league goal of the season in Saturday's 2-0 league win over Rayo Vallecano and the Dutch international is once again likely to lead the line against United.

The game should mark a return to European action for goalkeeper Jose Molina, who was back in the Deportivo team on Saturday for his first match since he was diagnosed as having testicular cancer in October.

Deportivo La Coruna (Probable): Jose Molina, Manuel Pablo, Cesar, Jorge Andrade, Joan Capdevila, Victor, Aldo Duscher, Roberto Acuna, Jose Emilio Amavisca, Juan Carlos Valeron, Roy Makaay

Manchester United (Probable): Roy Carroll, Phil Neville, Laurent Blanc, John O'Shea, Danny Pugh, Darren Fletcher, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Kieran Richardson, Michael Stewart, Diego Forlan

....
AC Milan v Borussia Dortmund

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to rest strikers Filippo Inzaghi and Rivaldo for their match against Borussia Dortmund.

The Italians have already qualified for the knockout stages and are expected to start with Andriy Shevchenko playing just in front of Portuguese playmaker Rui Costa.

Fernando Redondo takes the place of regular central midfielder Andrea Pirlo, with Samuele Dalla Bona and Cristian Brocchi on the wings.

Christian Abbiati replaces first team goalkeeper Dida between the posts.

To make the quarter-finals, Borussia Dortmund have to beat AC Milan and hope Real Madrid do not win away to Lokomotiv Moscow.

But Dortmund go into the match without Czech playmaker Tomas Rosicky, who has a thigh injury.

If Dortmund were to go out, Germany would be without a team in the quarter-finals of European club competition for the first time in 19 years.

AC Milan (Probable): Christian Abbiati, Dario Simic, Alessandro Nesta, Alessandro Costacurta, Paolo Maldini, Samuele Dalla Bona, Clarence Seedorf, Fernando Redondo, Cristian Brocchi, Rui Costa, Andriy Shevchenko.

Borussia Dortmund (Probable): Jens Lehmann, Christoph Metzelder, Christian Woerns, Evanilson, Stefan Reuter, Torsten Frings, Sebastian Kehl, Dede, Ewerthon, Jan Koller, Marcio Amoroso.

Referee: Graham Barber (England).
...
Lokomotiv Moscow v Real Madrid

Real Madrid go into their game against Lokomotiv Moscow knowing that they need to win to be assured of a place in the quarter-finals.

If Real draw and Borussia Dortmund beat AC Milan in the other Group C match, the defending champions will fail to make the last eight.

Real go into the match without inspirational full back Roberto Carlos, who is suspended.

Argentine winger Santiago Solari injured an ankle in Real's final training session before flying out to Moscow, but the club insist he will be fit for Tuesday and he could be asked to step back and cover for the Brazilian.

French midfielder Claude Makelele was rested for Saturday's 1-0 win away to Villarreal, when a last-minute goal from Ivan Helguera kept the club top of the table.

But Makelele should return to play alongside Flavio Conceicao in the heart of the midfield.

Lokomotiv skipper Dmitry Loskov returns after missing last week's defeat to Borussia Dortmund.

Defender Gennady Nizhegorodov, who was also suspended for the Dortmund game, should return too.

Moscow have no chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals but are hopeful of another good result against Real, who they held to a 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu earlier in the group.

Lokomotiv Moscow (Probable): Sergei Ovchinnikov; Gennady Nizhegorodov, Jakob Lekgetho, Sergei Ignashevich, Oleg Pashinin, Vadim Yevseyev, Marat Izmailov, Vladimir Maminov, Dmitry Loskov, Julio Cesar, Ruslan Pimenov.

Real Madrid (Probable): Iker Casillas, Michel Salgado, Francisco Pavon, Ivan Helguera, Santiago Solari, Luis Figo, Claude Makelele, Flavio Conceicao, Zinedine Zidane, Raul, Ronaldo.

Referee: Claude Colombo (France).
........
Basle v Juventus

Juventus striker Alessandro del Piero is fit again after a thigh injury, but will probably start on the bench for the Italians.

Del Piero has been out since the beginning of February, but is in contention to replace either Marcelo Zalayeta or Marcelo Salas in Juve's attack.

Midfielder Igor Tudor, who scored the last-gasp winner in Juve's 3-2 victory over Deportivo last week, should take the place of the suspended Edgar Davids.

In defence, Lilian Thuram returns to right-back after being rested during Juve's weekend win against Modena.

Juve need only a draw to ensure qualification to the last eight, but Basle need a near miracle.

Christian Gross's side need to win 4-0 or better to have any chance of pipping Juventus.

Gross will name the same side that earned a creditable 1-1 draw at Manchester United last week.

They welcome back Christian Gimenez, Thimothee Atoube, Marco Zwyssig and midfielder Sebastien Barberis after all four sat out Saturday's 4-1 League win over FC Thun.

Midfielders Antonio Esposito and Ivan Ergic are the only absentees due to calf and knee injuries respectively.

Basel (Probable): Pascal Zuberbuehler, Bernt Haas, Murat Yakin, Marco Zwyssig, Thimothee Atouba, Mario Cantaluppi, Scott Chipperfield, Sebastien Barberis, Hakan Yakin, Julio Hernan Rossi, Christian Gimenez.

Juventus (Probable): Gianluigi Buffon, Lilian Thuram, Ciro Ferrara, Paolo Montero, Gianluca Pessotto, Mauro Camoranesi, Alessio Tacchinardi, Igor Tudor, Pavel Nedved, Marcelo Zalayeta, Marcelo Salas.

Referee: Wolfgang Stark (Germany).

Miller is receiving treatment for a hamstring problem while Ambrose is suffering from a knee injury sustained in the derby win over Norwich.

Chris Makin has been named in Joe Royle's squad but is likely to face a late fitness test after a hamstring injury.

Wales international Adrian Williams is doubtful for Reading with a knee ligament injury.

Royals boss Alan Pardew is likely to turn to Adie Viveash if Williams misses out. John Mackie is not an option as he starts a three-match suspension.

Nathan Tyson will probably start on the left side of midfield, while Steve Sidwell is expected to return to the starting line-up after being replaced by Kevin Watson for the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
..................
Crystal Palace v Wimbledon

Cedric Berthelin went off at Reading with a groin injury while Tony Popovic made way for Kit Symons in the same game because of a leg problem.

Aki Riihilahti has returned to training after a thigh problem and could be in contention.

Wimbledon manager Stuart Murdoch is expected to name an unchanged side for the clash with their landlords.

Mikele Leigertwood, who has signed a contract keeping him at the club until 2006, is a fortnight away from a return to action following ankle trouble.

Gareth Ainsworth will play no part after joining Cardiff for a nominal fee.
.......
Burnley v Leicester

Burnley manager Stan Ternent is expected to reshuffle his pack for the visit of Leicester.

Robbie Blake, who has scored twice in his last two appearances as a substitute, is expected to replace the suspended Gareth Taylor up front.

Lee Briscoe is struggling to shake off the virus which kept him out of the Walsall clash, while Ian Cox and Graham Branch are doubtful with Achilles and groin problems respectively.

Paul Dickov is to undergo surgery on a hernia problem, although he is expected to line up in an unchanged Leicester line-up.

Alan Rogers and Matt Jones will miss out after suffering hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Gerry Taggart and Brian Deane sat out training on Monday but both are expected to feature.
.....
Rotherham United v Grimsby Town

Chris Swailes and striker Darren Byfield are back from suspension for Rotherham's match against Grimsby.

The duo missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Gillingham at Millmoor after accumulating five yellow cards each.

Marvin Bryan (calf) and Andy Monkhouse (knee) are set to miss out, while defender Rob Scott is still struggling with a shoulder injury.

Grimsby player-manager Paul Groves will be without Alan Pouton for the trip he starts a four-match ban.

Pouton was dismissed for two bookings in the draw with Preston in December and his ban could be further extended pending an FA hearing after he threw his captain's armband at the linesman at Deepdale.

Groves will also be without Stacy Coldicott and winger Michael Boulding who both sit out with ankle problems.
.........
Sheffield United v Brighton

Sheffield United midfielder Stuart McCall has not recovered from an ankle injury and is unavailable for the game with Brighton.

Manager Neil Warnock will also be without midfielder Neil Montgomery who injured his ankle during the win over Burnley.

Dean Windass came through the Stoke game and is likely to keep his place in the starting line-up having recovered from a dead leg.

Brighton forward Gary Hart is set to start his first game in a month at Bramall Lane.

Hart, back after a four-game suspension, is in line to replace Tony Rougier, whose month-long loan spell from Reading ends at the weekend.

Manager Steve Coppell has no fresh injury worries and selects from an unchanged squad.

The Seagulls have kept four clean sheets in their last six matches since Ivar Ingimarsson linked up with Danny Cullip and Dean Blackwell.
.....
Millwall v Norwich City

Millwall's injury crisis continues ahead of the game at home to Norwich.

Mark McGhee has doubts over Richard Sadlier (hip), Neil Harris and Steven Reid (both stomach complaints) as well as Matt Lawrence (ankle).

Alan Dunne (wrist), Mark Phillips (hamstring) and Tim Cahill (knee ligament) remain sidelined.

Dennis Wise made a return as a 68th-minute substitute at Wimbledon after a bout of food poisoning and should be in the squad for the arrival of the Canaries.

Norwich boss Nigel Worthington has no fresh injury concerns after midfielder Darel Russell recovered from an ankle injury to play 90 minutes against Coventry on Saturday.

Defender Craig Fleming and midfielder Phil Mulryne remain serious doubts with hip and foot problems respectively.
.......
Watford v Gillingham

Allan Nielsen remains doubtful for Watford's home clash against Gillingham as he struggles with a calf injury.

The Dane has missed the Hornets' last three matches with the problem but may be back in contention for the visit of Stoke next weekend.

Striker Heidur Helguson suffered a slight knock during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Grimsby, but should take his place in attack.

Midfielder Mark Saunders is doubtful for the Gills as he continues to struggle with flu.

He played 70 minutes of Saturday's 1-1 draw against Rotherham, despite suffering from a heavy cold and shivering, and he missed training on Monday.

Striker Mamady Sidibe, who has missed the last three games with a thigh strain, is expected to return to the squad, but defender Barry Ashby is definitely out with a hamstring problem.
....
Preston v Walsall

Preston manager Craig Brown will be without the services of goalkeeper Jonathan Gould for the visit of Walsall.

He has been ruled out for three weeks after suffering a recurrence of a groin injury in the weekend defeat by Leicester.

David Lucas will deputise for Gould, with Andy Lonergan taking his place on the bench following his return from a loan spell at Blackpool.

Joe O'Neill is a fortnight away from a return to full fitness after an Achilles operation, while Mark Wright (hip) and Ricardo Fuller (knee) are long-term absentees.

Darren Wrack has recovered from illness and is expected to return to the Walsall squad, but Ian Roper is still ruled out as he completes a two-match ban.

Manager Colin Lee is expected to leave new loan duo Chris Shuker and Carl Robinson on the bench, while Danny Hay and Fitzroy Simpson continue to be ruled out by shoulder and thigh problems respectively.
........
Wolves v Stoke

Wolves manager Dave Jones, who missed training on Monday with a heavy cold, is sweating on the fitness of several players ahead of their clash with Stoke.

Lee Naylor is also struggling to shake off a cold which ruled him out of the defeat at Portsmouth.

Nathan Blake, who missed the Fratton Park defeat after suffering concussion during the victory at Reading, is likely to miss out again while George Ndah is definitely sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Paul Butler, who has been complaining of headaches after suffering a head injury, will face a late fitness test, while Jolean Lescott is struggling with a groin problem, and Colin Cameron (toe injury) is another doubt.

Stoke will be without striker Chris Iwelumo for the tough trip to Molineux after he aggravated a knee injury in the goalless draw with Sheffield United.

He will undergo tests this week to discover the full extent of the problem.

Chris Greenacre could return to the starting line-up after coming on as a substitute against the Blades following a bout of flu.

But Lee Mills is struggling with a bruised knee and is likely to miss out again.
......

Bradford City v Sheffield Wednesday

Bradford defender Andy Myers is rated doubtful for the home match with Sheffield Wednesday.

He limped out of Saturday's 2-1 win at Derby County with a thigh strain and is likely to be replaced by Wayne Jacobs.

Jamie Lawrence could return to the starting line-up after impressing as a substitute at the weekend but Nicky Law will be without Robert Molenaar who has a calf problem.

Wednesday boss Chris Turner is unable to call upon the services of midfielder Darryl Powell.

The midfielder aggravated a hamstring strain during the 1-0 defeat against Ipswich on Saturday and could be out for up to three weeks.

Veteran defender David Burrows is also ruled out with a hamstring problem
------------------------------------------
Queens Park Rangers v Cheltenham

A mounting injury list may force QPR manager Ian Holloway to draft in players from the reserves for the visit of Cheltenham.

On-loan Lee Cook is doubtful with a dead leg and midfielder Marcus Bean is struggling with a sore foot.

Matthew Rose (hip), Karl Connolly (foot) and goalkeeper Nick Culkin (knee) are definitely out.

Cheltenham midfielder David Bird is doubtful for the trip to Queens Park Rangers.

The youngster is likely to be sidelined with a knee injury sustained in the 1-1 draw against Northampton at the weekend.

Richard Forsyth is also unlikely to figure after suffering a setback in his attempts to return to full fitness after sciatica.
....
Plymouth v Crewe

New signing Stefan Oakes goes straight into the squad for Crewe's trip to Plymouth but may have to settle for a place on the bench.

The 24-year-old left-sided midfielder has signed on a month's loan from Leicester.

Efe Sodje is back in contention after suspension.

For Plymouth, former Scotland midfielder Paul Bernard is almost certain to retain his place in midfield after coming into the side at Blackpool, where Paul Sturrock also reintroduced Ian Stonebridge and new loan signing Grant Smith.
..........
Barnsley v Tranmere

Mitch Ward is Barnsley's main injury worry ahead of the visit of Tranmere.

The midfielder missed training with a tight hamstring but physio David Moore is hopeful Ward will be available for the clash at Oakwell.

Paul Gibbs (groin), Carl Barrowclough (hamstring) and Rory Fallon (ankle) are still several weeks away from a return to first-team action.

Stuart Barlow is Tranmere's only injury doubt.

The striker, who is struggling with a groin problem, was an unused substitute in last Friday's draw against Cardiff and is again likely to have to settle for a place on the bench.

Iain Hume retains his place in the starting line-up after suffering no ill-effects to the "minor knock" which put his participation in doubt
.....
Huddersfield Town v Mansfield Town

Huddersfield leading scorer Martin Smith will undergo a late fitness test on a back injury but winger Simon Baldry is out for at least another two weeks having picked up a thigh strain in training last Friday.

Wadsworth is also without goalkeeper Scott Bevan (groin), Nathan Clarke (knee) and midfielder Kenny Irons, who is unavailable due to a family illness.

Eddie Youds is still struggling with a damaged Achilles so on-loan Middlesbrough defender Jason Gavin will retain his place in the starting line-up, having made his debut against Colchester on Saturday.

Mansfield defender Rhys Day has escaped a three-match ban and is expected to feature at the McAlpine Stadium.

However, player-manager Keith Curle will sit out the clash as he serves the second game of a three-game suspension.

The black eye sustained by Adam Eaton in a collision with goalkeeper Keith Welch at the weekend will not prevent his inclusion.
......
Chesterfield v Colchester United

Chesterfield have an injury doubt over Rob Edwards for the game against Colchester at Saltergate.

The defender picked up a minor hamstring problem in the draw at Notts County and will face a late fitness test.

Gareth Davies has been suffering with a similar injury, but should return to training this week.

Colchester manager Phil Parkinson is boosted by the return of Gareth Williams.

The on-loan Crystal Palace striker comes back into the reckoning after recovering from the calf problem which has kept him out of the last two games.

Parkinson is still without goalkeeper Simon Brown, who is waiting on the results of a second scan on a groin injury, so Richard McKinney will deputise in his absence.
.........
Port Vale v Brentford

Port Vale are likely to be without Mark Boyd for the game at home to Brentford.

The midfielder is likely to be out for around two weeks after he suffered medial knee ligament damage in the draw with Crewe.

Michael Walsh also sustained a knee problem at Gresty Road but is likely to be fit for the clash with the Bees.

Brentford centre-half Ibrahima Sonko may return to the Bees squad.

The Senegalese-born defender was in contention for the home defeat by Stockport County after recovering from a groin strain, but just missed out following a fitness test.

Defensive partner Leo Roget is still missing with an ankle problem, while Stephen Evans (Achilles) and Jamie Fullarton (leg) are also out
.......
Peterborough v Wycombe

Peterborough will be without Leon McKenzie and Tony Shields for the meeting with Wycombe at London Road.

McKenzie sustained a hamstring injury during the draw against Wigan, while Shields remains out of action with a thigh problem.

Sagi Burton sits out the first game of a two-match ban but Barry Fry's side sustained no new injuries in the weekend defeat at Bristol City.

Wycombe Wanderers boss Lawrie Sanchez is likely to name an unchanged side.

Michael Simpson serves the second game of a three-match ban and Chris Vinnicombe (groin), Richard Harris (groin) and Stuart Roberts (ankle) are all missing through injury.

Andy Rammell is again expected to start on the bench as he makes his way back from a calf injury.
....
Cardiff City v Blackpool

Gareth Ainsworth is in line to make his Cardiff debut against Blackpool after completing his move from Wimbledon.

The winger, who has joined for a nominal fee until the end of the season, may be named in the starting line-up as Lennie Lawrence reshuffles his squad.

Rhys Weston serves the second game of a two-match ban, and Scott Young is unlikely to feature due to hamstring and back injuries sustained.

Young's absence paves the way for Steve Jenkins' return at right-back, with Gary Croft expected to switch to the left side of defence.

Steve McMahon welcomes back Richie Wellens following his suspension for the 1-1 draw with Plymouth on Saturday.

Chris Clarke is a major doubt having picked up a leg problem in last week's reserve game and Tommy Jaszczun is definitely out with a hamstring injury.

On-loan goalkeeper Andy Lonergan was recalled by Preston on Monday so Australian stopper Michael Theoklitos will replace him on the Blackpool bench.
..........
Luton v Oldham

Toomy Mooney could be included in the Luton squad to face Oldham at Kenilworth Road.

Hatters manager Joe Kinnear, who has lost frontman Dean Crowe to a broken leg, is hoping to secure 31-year-old Mooney on loan from Birmingham until the end of the season.

But Chris Wilmott, on loan from Wimbledon, has been ruled out by a knee injury.

Emmerson Boyce continues to be hampered by a groin problem.

David Bayliss is out with a hamstring injury, Ian Hillier has been sidelined by a head wound and Carl Griffiths looks to be out of contention after succumbing to a calf problem.

Oldham boss Iain Dowie welcomes back Chris Killen (ankle) and Ben Burgess (calf) from injury.

The two frontmen missed the Latics' goalless draw with QPR, but both are in Dowie's squad to face the Hatters.

Scott Vernon has not recovered from a knee problem, while Fitz Hall and David Eyres are unavailable through suspension.
.......
Northampton v Notts County

Northampton are expected to name a similar squad from the weekend draw at Cheltenham for the visit of Notts County.

The Second Division strugglers sustained no new injuries at Whaddon Road and have no suspensions.

Notts County trio Darren Caskey, Ian Baraclough and Willis Francis have returned to full training this week to boost manager Bill Dearden's options.

Francis bounced back from a hip injury to feature as a late substitute in Saturday's clash with Chesterfield.

Caskey, who had been carrying an ankle problem, also came off the bench to feature in the 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane. Now Baraclough is back in harness too following his recovery from knee ligament problems.

Dearden will put the midfielders through late fitness tests before confirming their inclusion for the Sixfields encounter.
.......
Stockport v Wigan

Stockport will be without the suspended Jim Goodwin for the visit of Wigan.

Aaron Lescott is expected to drop back from midfield to fill in for Goodwin at right-back, paving the way for Fraser McLachlan's return to the starting line-up.

Andy Welsh may also feature if Kevin Ellison fails to recover from the ankle injury which forced him against Brentford.

John Hardiker remains short of match fitness after undergoing a hernia operation.

Wigan midfielder Tony Dinning is back in contention after serving a one-match suspension.

Peter Kennedy could also return following a knee problem, but otherwise the Wigan squad is likely to remain unchanged
---------------------------------------
Carlisle United v Macclesfield Town

Carlisle will be without Darren Kelly for the basement battle with Macclesfield.

The defender is serving the first game of a two-match suspension and is expected to be replaced by Lee Maddison.

There are doubts over Craig Russell, who is struggling with a thigh injury but Peter Murphy and Paul Raven are expected to be fit despite sustaining minor knocks at the weekend.

Macclesfield manager Dave Moss has a concern over defender Danny Adams.

The left-back was forced off with illness during Saturday's goalless draw against Bury, so Steve Hitchen is on standby.

David Smith has shaken off a groin strain, although Paul O'Neill remains sidelined by a suspected hernia.
......
Hull v Torquay

Hull have no new injury worries ahead of their home clash with Torquay.

Richie Appleby, recently back after seven months out with a knee injury, looked jaded as he came off shortly after half-time in City's 4-2 defeat at Rushden on Saturday, and he may be rested.

Justin Whittle plays his last game before beginning a two-match suspension. He was booked for the fifth time this season against Oxford, resulting in an automatic one-game ban, but he was also sent off against Diamonds, increasing his spell on the sidelines.

Torquay's Alex Russell will undergo a late fitness check ahead of the match after missing Saturday's 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe with a knee injury.

Tony Bedeau (knee) and Kevin Wills (ankle), who both missed Saturday's game, are still ruled out.

Jason Fowler suffered no reaction from his first match in three weeks and keeps his place.
.....
Bournemouth v Leyton Orient

Neither Dave McGhee nor Justin Miller are expected to feature in Leyton Orient's squad for the trip to Bournemouth.

McGhee has been stricken by an Achilles tendon injury, while fellow defender Miller has been struggling with a calf problem.

And there is a question mark hanging over the selection of defender Simon Downer who has been complaining of fatigue.

Bournemouth are hoping to welcome back Warren Feeney and Jason Tindall.

Feeney, sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in the 2-1 defeat at Rushden & Diamonds earlier this month, returned to training last week.

Tindall, out of action after picking up an ankle injury at Nene Park, will also be hoping to make a return.

Neil Young will be looking to figure in the game after the defender was on the bench in the 1-0 defeat at York after making progress following an ankle injury.

The Cherries sustained no new injuries at Bootham Crescent and have no suspensions.
.........
Kidderminster v Shrewsbury

A question mark hangs over the fitness of striker Bo Henriksen (hamstring) as Kidderminster prepare for their clash with Shrewsbury at Aggborough.

Ian Foster, who was given his first start since November at the Abbey Stadium, would be expected to retain his shirt if the Dane is not risked.

Defender Scott Stamps, who has been struggling with a groin injury, could make a return to the squad but the outlook is less promising for Dean Bennett (hamstring) and Kenny Coleman (stomach).

Shrewsbury have parted company with Alex Smith prior to the trip.

The midfielder/defender has returned to Reading after completing three months on loan at Gay Meadow.

Shrews boss Kevin Ratcliffe may be able to welcome back Leon Drysdale (bruised foot) after the defender returned to training, but defender Andy Thompson is likely to miss out with a virus despite resuming training after a calf injury.
.....
Scunthorpe v Rochdale

Jamie McCombe is set for a recall as Scunthorpe entertain Rochdale.

The centre-back missed Saturday's 1-1 draw at Torquay, but has recovered from his knee problem and will be in Brian Laws' squad for the clash at Glanford Park.

Laws has no new injury worries and will otherwise name an unchanged squad.

Rochdale's Wayne Evans underwent a brain scan on Monday and is a major doubt.

The 32-year-old has been complaining of tunnel vision since receiving a blow to the head two weeks ago.

Dale will definitely be without hamstring victims Michael Oliver and Steven Hill, as well as Neil Edwards who is out for the rest of the season with groin, knee and knuckle injuries.
........
Oxford v Cambridge

Oxford manager Ian Atkins has a goalkeeper crisis as he prepares for the home clash with Cambridge United.

Andy Woodman was stretchered off after receiving a kick in the face during Saturday's 2-1 win at Shrewsbury and was replaced by defender Scott McNiven.

The other main keeper at the Kassam Stadium, Ian McCaldon, is still some way off returning after a thigh strain, leaving youth-team shot-stopper Simon Cox as the Us' only fit number one.

Steve Basham is expected to return from a dead leg.

Cambridge boss John Taylor is forced to make at least one change from the team beaten by Kidderminster on Saturday following on-loan Tom Newey's return to Leeds.

Taylor will welcome back Adam Tann, who has completed a three-match suspension, but Andy Duncan is unlikely to feature because of a groin problem.
....
Exeter City v Lincoln City

Exeter boss Gary Peters will be without 10-goal top scorer Steve Flack for their home game against Lincoln.

Flack begins a two-match suspension that will also rule him out of Saturday's clah with Rochdale.

Winger James Coppinger (ankle) is on the injury list.

Striker Shayne Bradley could return to the Lincoln squad for the clash.

Bradley, on-loan from Chesterfield, was expected to be back for Saturday's 1-1 draw with Wrexham after shaking off a calf problem, but failed to make the final 16.

Attacking midfielder Simon Yeo is expected to return to training this week, and could feature in Saturday's game at Bury.
......
Wrexham v Hartlepool United

Steve Roberts is almost certain to miss Wrexham's home game against Hartlepool after aggravating a long-standing heel injury.

The defender was substituted at half-time in the Dragons' draw against Lincoln on Saturday, and the problem will now be reassessed.

Paul Edwards also came off in the closing stages after suffering a recurrence of an ankle injury, but it is hoped he will recover to play.

The game comes too soon for Stephen Thomas (hamstring), but he may be back in contention for the weekend visit of York.

Hartlepool boss Mike Newell has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to the Racecourse Ground.

Marcus Richardson returned to the starting line-up for the 2-1 win against Southend after a spell on the sidelines with flu, while Adam Boyd dropped out of the squad completely, with Kevin Henderson and fit-again Gordon Watson on the substitutes' bench
....
Bury v Rushden & Diamonds

Pawel Abbott goes straight into the Bury squad for the visit of Rushden & Diamonds after rejoining on a two-week loan.

Chris Billy faces a late fitness test on the knee injury which kept him out of the draw with Macclesfield, while Jamie Stuart has not shaken off a bout of flu.

Paul O'Shaughnessy is also struggling with illness, and Steve Redmond continues to be troubled by an ankle problem.

Lee Unsworth (calf), Ian Lawson (ankle), Gareth Seddon (back) and Matty Barrass (knee) will play no part.

Rushden & Diamonds manager Brian Talbot is confident of having David Bell available after he limped off against Hull with cramp.

Talbot also hopes to include Duane Darby in his squad so long as the striker came through the clash with the Tigers unscathed.
.........
Southend v Swansea

Southend have injury problems ahead of the home clash with Swansea.

Stephen Broad and Mark Rawle (both hamstring) are definitely out and Jay Smith is likely to be sidelined with a groin problem.

Steven Clark (back) and Kevin Maher (groin) face late fitness tests.

Phil Whelan is making progress with a knee injury but is unlikely to figure for the Shrimpers again this season after being told he will be released in the summer.

Swansea director of football Brian Flynn has added youngsters Stuart Jones and Richard Duffy to the squad that slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Carlisle.

On-loan Brad Maylett is expected to continue in midfield after making his debut against the Cumbrians, while Lenny Johnrose should keep his place after showing no reaction to a niggling calf injury
..........
Bristol Rovers v York

Bristol Rovers strikers Giuliano Grazioli and Paul Tait look certain to keep their places against York after scoring against Leyton Orient at the weekend.

Michele Di Piedi, preferred to Tait for the previous three games, missed Saturday's game through injury and may now have to be content with a place on the bench.

Kevin Street recovered from an ankle injury to be a substitute at Orient and could well fill the same role against the Minstermen.

York midfielders Lee Bullock and Richard Cooper are doubtful after both players were substituted with calf problems towards the end of City's 1-0 win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Tom Cowan was booked for the 10th time this season against the Cherries, and now faces a two-game ban.

He will be suspended for back-to-back home games against Southend on March 29 and Rochdale on April 12.(Ananova, BBC)
