Blackpool - Bournemouth 40 31 29

Rob Edwards 7(0) 1 is a major doubt and could face a late fitness test. Long-term absentee Keith Southern is still two or three weeks away from a return.

Bournemouth will be hoping defender Eddie Howe 9(1) 1 can shake off a knee problem in time. Cherries also have fitness doubts over goalkeeper Neil Moss 10(0) (back) and John Spicer 3(0) 1 (calf).Jason Tindall 0 and Steve Fletcher 0(2), who have both been dogged by respective knee problems since pre-season, returned to training on Thursday while Stephen Purches 0(1) (ankle) is set for a return to training next week.

Bradford - Barnsley 38 27 35

Defenders David Wetherall, Wayne Jacobs and Darren Holloway and midfielder Nicky Summerbee were all rested for Wednesday's LDV Vans Trophy defeat.

Boss Paul Hart has recently preferred Barry Conlon, Michael Chopra and on-loan Daniel Nardiello for the attacking roles, but could opt to make changes following the midweek LDV Vans Trophy defeat at Port Vale.

Brentford - Oldham 52 28 20

September's Coca Cola League One manager of the month Martin Allen has no new injury concerns ahead of Brentford's clash with Oldham. Midfielder Eddie Hutchinson is on the long-term injury list, but otherwise Brentford have no injuries in the squad.

Mark Arber 10(0) 1 and John Eyre 10(0) 1 are both doubtful for Oldham. Long-term absentees Les Pogliacomi 8(0) and Mark Bonner 7(0) returned to training this week but will not feature at Brentford, while David Beharall 0(0) is a week away from a return to training.

Chesterfield - Bristol C 36 27 37

Chesterfield boss Roy McFarland has snapped up Barnsley striker Mark Stallard on a month's loan and he goes straight into the squad to face Bristol City at Saltergate. The 29-year-old joined the Tykes in January 2004 but has not started a game this season, making just five appearances from the substitutes bench. Defender Mark Innes 9(1) serves the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against Barnsley, while midfielder Derek Niven 9(0) (ankle) and striker Caleb Folan 3(3) 3 (hernia) remain on the sidelines.

New Bristol City signing Steve Brooker (9(0) 5 for Port Vale) will be available to play.

Colchester - Port Vale 47 29 34

Colchester boss Phil Parkinson could welcome midfielder Kem Izzet 0 back from injury for the home clash with Port Vale. Craig Fagan 9(0) 4 is still ruled out following surgery on his groin, while Liam Chilvers has not yet recovered from his hamstring problem. Club captain Karl Duguid and defender Sam Stockley 8(0) 1 remain long-term absentees.

Port Vale boss Martin Foyle has brought Daryl McMahon in on loan from West Ham to bolster his squad in the wake of Steve Brooker's departure to Bristol City. Foyle is now short of striking options and may have to rely on Lee Matthews passing a fitness test on a groin strain. Ian Armstrong 5(1) 3 and Robin Hulbert 10(0) should pass late fitness tests and are expected to take their places on the bench.

Doncaster - Wrexham 45 28 27

Defender Stephen Foster 10(0) faces several weeks on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments in the midweek win over Lincoln. Striker Gregg Blundell 8(0) 1 (ankle) and defender Simon Marples 7(0) (stomach) are back in training but Saturday's match may come too soon.

Dennis Lawrence 8(0) 2 (ankle) is rated as doubtful while Andy Dibble 8(0) (hand) and Carlos Edwards (knee) are long-term absentees.

Hartlepool - Hull 38 29 32

Antony Sweeney serves the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against MK Dons, while Hugh Robertson 5(0) 2 (foot), Darrell Clarke 0 and Jack Ross 7(0) (both knee) remain on the sidelines.

Hull City boss Peter Taylor will be without the services of goalkeeper Boaz Myhill 10(0). Myhill serves a one-match ban after being sent off against Pools in the LDV Vans Trophy defeat on Tuesday. Defenders Damien Delaney 7(0) (knee) and Leon Cort 9(1) 1 (foot) could be set to return, but midfielder Nick Barmby 8(0) 1 (ankle) and defender Marc Joseph 7(0) (hamstring) are still a couple of weeks away from a comeback.

Huddersfield - Walsall 38 30 32

Huddersfield Town pair Andy Booth 9(0) 2 and Rob Edwards 9(0) 1 are rated 50-50 for Saturday's visit of Walsall. Boss Peter Jackson will definitely be without midfielder Danny Schofield 6(3) 1 following his midweek dismissal in the LDV Vans Trophy win over Morecambe. Jon Worthington 10(0) 2 is also out due a one-game ban after reaching five bookings and defender Efe Sodje 8(0) sits out the last of his three-game suspension. But midfielder Tony Carss 5(0) 1 (knee) and wing-back Andy Holdsworth 10(0) (shoulder) will both return to the squad.

Walsall boss Paul Merson has seen his squad boosted by the return to fitness of Ryan Willetts and Nathan Jameson ahead of the trip. Defender Kofi Dakinah 1(0) remains sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Peterborough - Torquay 44 28 28

Peterborough will entertain Torquay on Saturday with their squad hit by an injury crisis. Posh boss Barry Fry had 15 players on the treatment table before the LDV Vans Trophy defeat at Bristol City and will again have a host of players missing this weekend. Adam Newton 7(0) (groin), Sagi Burton 3(0) 1 (dislocated shoulder), Calum Willock 5(0) 1 (hamstring), Clive Platt 9(0) 2 (groin), Chris Plummer 4(0) (knee), Peter Kennedy 7(0) 1 (groin), Craig Ireland 10(0) (knee) and Simon Rea 7(1) 0 are all doubtful.

Torquay United are poised to hand a debut to new goalkeeper Olafur Gottskalksson. The former Icelandic international - who has previously played for Brentford and Hibernian - is poised to take over from Dutchman Arjan Van Heusden 7(0) (groin). Right back Lee Canoville 7(0) (hamstring) is also sidelined following the 4-3 LDV Vans Trophy win over Yeovil. Torquay are hoping Kevin Hill 4(3) (calf), Martin Gritton 8(2) 4 (thigh) and Stuart Wardley 4(2) 2 (thigh) pass fit along with playmaker Alex Russell 4(0) 1 but striker Adebayo Akinfenwa 2(4) is ruled out through suspension.

Sheff Wed - MK Dons 50 28 22

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Glenn Whelan 5(0) 1 will miss the visit of MK Dons through suspension. Striker Lee Peacock 7(1) 1 is struggling with an ankle problem, but boss Paul Sturrock has no other injury or suspension worries. Midfielder Matt Hamshaw 0(2), striker Kim Olsen 0 (both knee) and Craig Armstrong (hamstring) have all returned to full training, but are unlikely to be included. Richard Wood (toe), Guy Branston 5(1) (calf), Graeme Lee 3(0) 1 (knee) and Paul Heckingbottom 5(1) 1 (hip) all remain sidelined.

Milton Keynes Dons goalkeeper Scott Bevan 5(0) is a fitness doubt for the trip. Defender Malvin Kamara 6(2) is also set to miss out again as he attempts to return to full fitness after a hamstring problem.

Stockport - Swindon 37 29 34

Swindon's Sam Parkin 10(0) 4 will not travel as he serves the first game of a three-match ban. Stefani Miglioranzi is definitely ruled out through injury after suffering a groin strain in the 1-0 Carling Cup defeat at Leeds.

Tranmere - Luton 47 28 25

Tranmere manager Brian Little is sweating on the fitness of captain Jason McAteer 6(1) ahead of the top-of-the-table encounter against Luton at Prenton Park. Michael Jackson 9(0) 2 serves the final game of a three-match ban and Simon Haworth 0 remains some way off match fitness despite making a successful comeback from a broken leg alongside Harrison.

Striker Steve Howard 10(0) 5 is suspended while David Bayliss 0 (hamstring) and Marlon Beresford 10(0) (groin) will also miss out. On-loan Gary McSheffrey 0(2) could replace Howard while Dino Seremet 0(1) should again deputise for Beresford between the posts.
