The Russian U20 national team includes NHL first-round draft pick Nikita Filatov
The Columbus Blue Jackets, who picked Filatov sixth player overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, confirmed that the 18-year-old prospect will be part of the Russian U20 team in Ottawa, Canada.
Filatov played four NHL games in October and scored his only goal in his debut against Nashville, but has since been assigned to the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch where he has seven goals and ten assists in 23 games.
