The Way I look at the Pedigree Data in front of me is to think of the Trainers all being dealt a Poker Hand., but instead of holding cards they have a Pedigree in front of them, some will be rich in GBW and GBP, others not quite so good and some will fold as they have no chance.
Usually there are only two or three Trainers who have a hand that is playable and not always the Trainer with the Best Pedigree in his hand wins, that is becuase he is not very good at getting his runners fit, does not appreciate the distance that they require, or course or going suitability to be seen at their best. The Jockey may not understand that they have a Stamina Horse under them and get done in a slowly run Race. All of these factors are taken into account when we are trying to decide which trainer is going to play his Cards best.
The Pedigree Data in front of us and the Flatstats data helps us to decide which of the Two or Three Trainers are going to win the Hand. Recently we have narrowed each race down to Two or Three contenders at most and the winner has come from one of those three.
PS I am not interested in having a Dick Waving Contest with the Open Maidens thread or comparing selections. To me that is just a distraction that is insignificant compared to long term aim of this thread, the question I would ask is does anyone learn anything new posting up one line "FRED BLOGGS HAS A GOOD GGGGGD"
I just want to help create a encyclopaedia of Pedigree Handicapping on this particular set of threads on the Pay Subscribers, with Pre race examples to demonstrate that sometimes we have failed, but more importantly where and how we managed to succeed and even more importantly we have at least tried our hardest.
