Pistons -6

The Bobcats (14-26) have handled Detroit so far this season. They have won the Pistons 97-89 on Dec. 3 in Charlotte and also 103-96 on Jan. 10 at The Palace.

The Pistons (23-16) have won their last two games and will now look to get revenge against the Cats for those two losses. This is their last game against Charlotte this season and we expect it to be different. The Pistons really are a different team than they were when those two teams last met. First of all the Pistons have their best player back in business. Billups has scored 26 and 25 points in his previous two games and he is more than ready to play this one. Secondly the Pistons now have Chris Webber, who has the same number of assists as a Piston in just three games, as former starting center Nazr Mohammed has in the 37 games he has played in.

You may think that the Bobcats are on a roll, having won two in a row last week. But don't start thinking so much just yet, because they were back-to-back wins over lousy Atlanta. The Bobcats still need a stronger backcourt to hold their own against stronger and faster opponents. Especially, when Raymond Felton has to play with a sprained ankle and Brevin Knight isn’t back until late January. The injury of Primoz Brezec is another problem that leaves the team even more vulnerable.

The Pistons want to reclaim their pride after loosing two consecutive games against the Bobcats. If they are serious about making a move in the East, these are the games they can't afford to give away. Pistons to cover with medium (-) stakes.
