Bucks vs Knicks 15th Jan (note: the game starts 21.00 CET)
It will be a tough away game for both teams as it will be played in London. One side or the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, what will likely remain the same is how bad the Knicks (5-35) team is at the moment. We had a tiny hope couple of weeks ago when injured players started to return to the Knicks lineup, but that hope has been killed and burried by now. Injuries are not that big of an issue anymore (although their best offensive players Melo and Stoudemire are both dealing with knee issues), but the team is just a D-League level squad, where players that would not even make the roster for most of the NBA teams, play heavy minutes. Needless to say that the Knicks have been getting humiliated recently. Their losing streak is 15 games and it would be 26 games, but the Celtics came to their rescue on 12th of December.
The Bucks are probably not the greatest team ever, but they are still .500 team that will play their hearts out each night. They also have to do that to keep themselves in the play-off race. That is actually something that most of people did not expect from this team this season. Milwaukee has done especially good job against weaker teams in games where they have to win. Of course the Knicks are the clear cut example for a bad team. The Bucks have more European players in their lineup (Antetokounmpo, Ilyasova, Pachulia) so they are likely to get a bit more support from the crowd.
At the moment any single digit spread offered to the Knicks opponents should be treated a a gift. The Bucks have been showing solid performance against below average teams and we don`t think this game will stay close for a long time. At the same time it is a strange game for both teams so the stakes should be not more than 3 units here. Take Milwaukee to cover -6.5 points @1.970 from Pinnacle with 3/5 units.
