Easy win last night takes the record to 17-9-1

The Thunder lost yet another game last night against the Rockets. It is not going to be much easier as they have to meet the best team in the league Golden State Warriors tonight. Playing back-to-back is bad enough, but the Thunder also had to travel to get from Houston back to Oklahoma City. That almost erases all the home court advantage the Thunder could in theory have. Things are starting to look dangerous for the Thunder as they are 18-20 this season, which leaves them 5 wins behind the 8th seed in the Western Conference. Furthermore, they are only 5-5 from last 10 games even with Westbrook and Durant healthy and that is just not good enough result for their play-off hopes.
When it is rain and thunder above the heads in Oklahoma City, the sun is shining in Golden State. The Warriors are close to their full strenght and have been playing crazy good basketball over the last couple of weeks. During their 8-game winning streak ALL 8 games have been simply blowouts. The average winning marging has been 20 points and they have played against good teams. One of those wins was also against the Thunder (117-91).
For the Warriors to lose tonight something has to happen that we have not yet seen in this calendar year. The Thunder has to be able to at least keep the game close and Warriors must play their worst game in 2015. OKC is not in a good spot at the moment. They have to play back-to-back, some of their guys (Perkins, Lamb) are invloved in trade rumors and could sit out the game and it has been simply struggle for them as of late. Yet we have huge amount of respect to what Durant and Westbrook can do at any given night, so we will keep our stakes under control here.
