Suns vs Rockets
The Suns did not have Eric Bledsoe available for the game against the Kings (unexpected personal reasons) and it showed from the first minute. The Suns played probably one of their worst games of the season, they played out of character, did not run, scored only 83 points … yet were only 1 lucky shot away from taking the game to overtime. The good news is: Eric Bleadsoe will be back in uniform tonight and the Suns should be back playing like they know and can.
As the danger of the Thunder catching them grows, the Suns need this win much more than the Rockets. Houston has been able to win some games even without Dwight Howard, but they have had easy part of their schedule playing mostly against the Eastern Conference teams. They did lose their last game against the Blazers (98-109) though. Both teams have talent to score points, but the Suns at the moment are just more athletic to play at the defensive end. For most of the game, scoring will not be an issue, but as the Rockets have to heavily rely on Harden, while the Suns have more balanced offense we expect the Suns to have few runs when they are able to limit the Rockets offensively.
Games before the All-Stars break usually heavily favor the team that plays at home and does not have players going to the All-Stars game. It is business as usual for the Suns and they just can`t allow any kind of lack of focus at the moment.
