Bucks vs Pelicans

Doing the makeover at the trading deadline with it`s roster has really not helped the Bucks. Milwaukee was hoping to solve some problems offensively, instead they are still finding themselves scoring around 90 points per game. Even against teams that raise the tempo and give them a chance for more offensive possessions. Milwaukee`s offensive effectiveness is close to the bottom of the league and they have the 2nd highest number of turnovers per game (after 76ers). Not surprisingly they have decided to lower the tempo of the game and play a hard nose defense to give themselves a chance to win games. Milwaukee`s defensive effectiveness is the 2nd best in the league.

The Pelicans on the other hand are not that bad offensively, but are playing with one of the lowest paces in the league (27th). Mush of it is because they are happy to wait for Anthony Davis to run the length of the floor, but they also usually use a lot of time offensively to find the best shot. To put 1 and 1 together, the Pelicans although effective will struggle against the excellent defense of the Bucks use much of a shot-clock and with that slow the tempo that will force the Bucks to play half-court sets. Something, the Bucks are struggling with.

Milwaukee has scored only once more than 100 points after the trade deadline and an All-Stars break. Their average during that period is 88.6 points per game. The Pelicans have their own scoring problems and have stayed below 100 points for 5 games in a row (93.7 points as an average). So statistically this game should stay around 180 points, but knowing how those 2 teams play it would be no surprise to see the total number of points ending even much lower than that. Take under 186 points @2.02 from Pinnacle with 3/5 units.
