Boston Celtics has almost fallen out of top 8 teams that will get to the play-offs. Yes, Celtics has won 6 of last 10 games, but opponents have been rather weak than strong (wins over injury plaqued Toronto, Washington, Orlando and New York). There is one surprise over this winning streak, that lasted 6 games – it is Celtics win over Minnesota, but it means nothing if Boston cant keep their momentum up. Celt`s last game was lost against Lakers although Pierce scored 30 points and Davis added 24 points. Nevertheless Boston has been too much of “one man band” since Walker left and if opponents will manage to shut down Pierce no chances are left for Celtics.
If you are searching for a hot team at the moment Indiana is the direction to look at. Pacers has won 6 games in a row and leads the league with 48 wins and only 16 losses. Pacers had rough times when Ron Artest was out because of injury, but ever since he returned they look like team to beat again. In last game against Toronto Artest scored 23 points with high shooting percentage while O`neal added 20 points and 18 rebounds. Team who could beat such a Pacers should be considered as a top team of the league – but Boston is far away from being in top.
Boston has one big problem tonight – his name is Artest. Being known as one of the best defenders in the league he will hold Celtics and Pierce down tonight. ... ei nyt sentään mestaruuteen, kovin ohuet minun papereissani. Hyvää jälkeä toki saanut aikaan runkosarjassa mutta pudotuspelit ovat oma maailmansa. Taistellee konferenssin voitosta Netsin ja Pistonsin kanssa. Jos selvittää tiensä finaaliin niin turpaan tulee niin, että tukka lähtee. Sen verran kovempitasoinen läntinen konferenssi on, että on finaalissa vastassa ketä tahansa niin mestari löytyy lännestä erittäin todennäköisesti ja tässä yhteydessä sana erittäin lienee paikallaan.
