Bettingadvice DDOS'ed again
Apparantly Bettingadvice.com have been DDOS'ed by Lativan mafia, Latvian script kiddies, or other Latvian shitheads in the recent 3 days. We have been down from Sat May 15 10:00 CET to Tue May 18 1900 PM CET. The site has been hit by 70-80000 pps (pings per second) which lead to our host blocking BA from their network to spare the box and their network. The attack came from thousands of different IP adresses, (hijacked PC's) coordinated and used for this malicious attack.
We do not know the reason for this, but suspect it is a mistake, probably by the same people who have been attacking and blackmailing bookmakers recently. Bettingadvice.com have not been presented by ransom claims, and if we do, we never will, nor have, money to pay with. Someone must belive this is a highly profitable business. Security measures against these sort of attacks is hard to implement for small business like this, as software from www.riverhead.com
cost 3000 USD per month to use, and hardware (heavy firewalls cost several tens of thousand dollars, actually we've been quoted solutions that cost 300-400 k USD ! The case is reported to FBI.
