Brighton manager Mark McGhee is likely to stick with the same starting XI that lost to Crewe on Saturday.
Defender Guy Butters is unlikely to be fit but Richard Carpenter and Adam El-Abd are fit again.
Cardiff's Willie Boland is continuing to be troubled by an ankle strain and so teenage midfielder Joe Ledley could be given his full Championship debut.
Paul Parry is also doubtful with a back injury but Rhys Weston (hamstring) and Robert Page (ribs) may make the bench.
Burnley v Coventry
Burnley boss Steve Cotterill will make a late decision on the fitness of Ian Moore as the striker will soon require surgery on his knee injury.
Lee Roche has shown no adverse reaction following his return from a hamstring injury and could earn a starting role.
Coventry have no fresh injury or suspension worries, and Eric Deloumeaux could be in line for a recall having recovered from a hamstring injury.
But fellow midfielder Claus Jorgensen has been ruled out by a rib injury.
Wigan v Crewe
Wigan are expected to recall defender David Wright after Nicky Eaden was ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Tony Dinning, back from his loan spell at Ipswich, is expected to step in for Wright on the bench and boss Paul Jewell has no other selection worries.
Crewe could be without skipper Kenny Lunt after he was stretchered out of the win over Brighton with a dead leg.
If he does miss out, Ben Rix, Mark Rivers and James Robinson are all capable of deputising for him.

Stoke have skipper Clive Clarke available after a ban but Gerry Taggart is still suspened.
On-loan defender Michael Duberry could make his first appearance for Stoke.
Watford v Sunderland
Watford left-back Paul Mayo is fit again after missing Saturday's draw against Derby with a groin strain.
Centre-back Sean Dyche suffered a head wound in the same game but is fit to play, but midfielder Paul Devlin is still out (hamstring).
Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy has been boosted by the return to fitness of striker Stephen Elliott and he could replace Simon Johnson or Chris Brown.
Defender Stephen Wright is also available again after suspension.
UNITED WITHOUT KEY PAIR
Manchester United's Champions League hopes were dealt a blow when both Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand were ruled out of Tuesday's encounter with Sparta Prague.
Keane was not with the squad flying out to the Czech capital after contracting a virus and Ferdinand, who would almost certainly have skippered United in the Irishman's absence, was due to attend his grandmother's funeral.
Mikael Silvestre is an automatic choice to fill the central defensive vacancy alongside Wes Brown but manager Sir Alex Ferguson does now have a midfield selection dilemma.
Paul Scholes should return to the starting line-up after a substitute appearance in the disappointing 0-0 draw at Birmingham on Saturday, but the other central midfield berth will be between Eric Djemba-Djemba, Kleberson, Darren Fletcher and Phil Neville.
Gabriel Heinze is likely to replace Quinton Fortune at left-back after the South African was ruled out with a calf problem.
There was some good news for Ferguson with both Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs available for the Red Devils' first competitive trip to Prague.
Rooney suffered a dead leg at St Andrews, while Giggs missed the game altogether with a virus.
However, both men were passed fit to travel and look almost certain to start as United look to consolidate their position at the top of Group D.
With four points and eight goals from their two previous outings in the competition, United's form has been in sharp contrast to the below-par fare they have produced in the Premiership.
Saturday's stalemate in the midlands means they have won just three of their nine league matches and have scored only nine goals.
Ferguson's other main strikers Ruud van Nistelrooy, Alan Smith and Louis Saha were also in the squad, giving the United boss a chance to find the right formation ahead of next Sunday's must-win encounter with Arsenal.
Ferguson, meanwhile, is confident he can keep Rooney's feet firmly on the ground despite his sensational Champions League debut.
England striker Rooney marked his United debut with a dazzling hat-trick against Fenerbahce at Old Trafford.
Now United's £27million signing from Everton faces the prospect of a first away date in the competition against Sparta Prague.
Ferguson knows his 18-year-old star is firmly under the spotlight whenever he plays but believes he is at the right club to cope with the adulation.
"We are being careful about his over exposure, which can happen with a player of talent, but we've faced it before, with Ryan Giggs and others, and so we have experience of handling it.
"We have a group of experience pros in the dressing room and Wayne knows where I am all the time. He knows he can get advice from me whenever he needs it so I don't think it is a problem for us."
Ferguson was asked if United were able to concentrate properly on the Sparta Prague clash with Sunday's vital Premiership showdown with champions Arsenal looming large.
"There is a big focus on next Sunday's game with Arsenal because it's such a vital game in the English football calendar but that is not to forget we have an important game with Sparta Prague first," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.
Ferguson revealed he had nothing but admiration for Sparta star Karel Poborsky when the Czech Republic winger played under him at Old Trafford.
"Karel is a very good player, he did very well for me. We were looking to sign a right-sided midfielder, after he had done so well at the European Championships in 1996, and at that time we didn't expect David Beckham to break through the way he did, so he was unfortunate.
"But he played many good games for us, the problem was that he was coming from another country with a young player like Beckham emerging.
"I was always pleased with the way he performed for us, and since then there's been evidence, in the summer (at Euro 2004) that he has carried on a great career. He was always a terrific professional, a great lad and he never caused us any problems at all."

VIEIRA MISSES EURO CLASH
Patrick Vieira will miss Arsenal's Champions League match against Panathinaikos on Wednesday and is a major doubt for the clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Highbury captain suffered a sprained ankle when fouled by Aston Villa's Jlloyd Samuel during Arsenal's 3-1 home win at Highbury on Saturday and manager Arsene Wenger says: "I think there's a big problem after the way I've seen him limping."
Vieira, who was treated at the club's London Colney training centre on Monday, is determined to be fit to face United in what has become a crucial clash for Sir Alex Ferguson's team, who are 11 points behind Wenger's table toppers after their 0-0 draw at Birmingham.
United will be desperate to stop Arsenal from going 50 consecutive league games unbeaten and some of this has already shown in Fergie's comments, accusing Arsenal of being "a mob" and "getting away with murder" in last season's goalless meeting which led to four Gunners being suspended.
Vieira's absence gives Brazilian Edu a chance on Wednesday night to show he is worth a new contract, which he has so far failed to negotiate with Arsenal.
With Gilberto Silva recovering from a back injury and and Dennis Bergkamp missing the match against the Greeks because of his unwillingness to travel by air, Wenger's options are limited.
Freddie Ljungberg is set to return after missing Saturday's game with a hamstring problem and it looks likely Edu will be paired with dynamic teenager Francesc Fabregas in central midfield and Jose Antonio Reyes moved forward as the support striker to Thierry Henry.
Edu's current deal expires at the end of the season and unless an agreement is reached, the likelihood is he will be sold when the transfer window re-opens in January - with Barcelona willing to offer a contract of around £35,000 a week. United have also been linked with the player.
REDS DUO RECOVER
Rafael Benitez will have both Harry Kewell and Steve Finnan available for Liverpool's Champions League clash with Deportivo La Coruna at Anfield.
Kewell did not even make the bench at Fulham after returning from his trip to Australia suffering from tiredness and an ankle problem. Finnan acquired a stomach problem while away with the Republic of Ireland and also failed to make the trip to the capital.
But both are back in the squad against the Spanish club as Liverpool bid for the three points that will edge them to the brink of qualification for the next stage.
Benitez is demanding that his players transfer the fighting spirit they showed at Fulham into the clash at Anfield.
On Saturday the Spanish coach must have been in the depths of despair at half time, 2-0 down against the Londoners and facing another nightmare away defeat. But 45 minutes later, all that misery had been swept away by a Xabi Alonso-fightback to win 4-2.
Fast forward to Anfield this week and a crucial Champions League group A clash with Deportivo, foes Benitez knows only too well from his time in the upper echelons of La Liga.
Victory will boost Liverpool's ambitions of qualifying for the knock-out stage and leave Deportivo with a solitary point after three games.
Defeat, though, will send Liverpool back to square one as the former Valencia boss tries to return the Merseysiders to the peak of European football.
Such hopes have been kept close to his chest in England, but in a Spanish interview this week, Benitez - who won the UEFA Cup with Valencia last season - reveals some of his innermost feelings with regard the task ahead of him.
He was quoted as saying: "If you see all the history that is true, we need to be better in the future and increase our own level. We must win at home and get good results away, and I hope to see a good Liverpool against Depor."
He certainly has all the ammunition of knowledge about Deportivo, regular and tough opponents in La Liga, even though their form has been patchy this season.
However, a fortnight ago Depor won for the first time in 49 years at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid, and then Saturday's victory over newly promoted Getafe pushed them higher in the table towards Barcelona and Benitez's old club.
"We have seen a stronger mentality and spirit," said Benitez.
"In the first half at Fulham we were without confidence, but after the break we played much better and the spirit was there," he said.
"I have seen Deportivo's last game, we know they are a big team and play almost from memory. But we have confidence now in ourselves.
"They have had trouble recently because Mauro Silva and Aldo Duscher have been injured but they are back now and things are starting to change.
"They have not been playing that well because they have had two very good central midfielders out injured. But they are both back now, so that makes them more dangerous. But if we win they will probably not have many more chances to qualify."
The Reds boss continued: "If we want to win we must be aggressive and play a physical game. We must keep the ball because if they have it, with the likes of Valeron playing behind the strikers and with two good wingers, Luque and Victor, they will always be dangerous.
"Their side all know each other very well, they play from memory because they have been together for several years and with the same coach.
"The fact that they have only scored once in the Champions League this season is not the fault of the strikers. When you are without such fine midfield players as Duscher and Silva, it is much more difficult to do well.
"The strikers need good service, which means Silva, Duscher and Valeron are very important for them.
"So we must use our brains, we must show intensity and control. And to think more."
Deportivo coach Javier Irureta welcomes midfielder Mauro Silva back into his 20-man squad after the Brazilian injured his knee on the opening day of the season against Espanyol.
His return, however, is offset by the absence of Sergio Gonzalez through suspension.

MADRID, Oct 18 (SW) – After a horrendous start to the season, Real Madrid will look to cast away their doubters when they host Group B leaders Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Despite a comeback 4-2 win over AS Roma in their last Champions League game, that was the only time this season that Madrid have scored more than one goal in a game. Kiev are coming off of a 4-2 win of their own over Bayer Leverkusen on the last matchday.
Real Madrid will be without midfielder and free-kick specialist David Beckham, who fractured a rib in England’s World Cup qualifying match against Wales. Also missing is central defender Walter Samuel, who is suspended after picking up his second yellow card of the competition against Roma.
There is one huge absence for Dynamo Kiev, who will be without Latvia striker Maris Verpakovskis. Verpakovskis, like Samuel, received his second yellow card against Leverkusen and is suspended. They will enjoy the return of captain Vladimir Belkevich after a back injury.
In Germany, Bayer Leverkusen play host to group cellar dwellers Roma in what could be a make or break game for the Italians.
The absences certainly do not favor the visitors who will be without defender Philippe Mexes, who will serve the second of his two-game ban. Also injured are goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli (groin) and Olivier Dacourt (knee). Egyptian midfielder Mido is also questionable with a back injury.

TURIN, Oct 18 (SW) – Two former European champions will square off on Tuesday in Champions League Group C as Juventus play host to Bayern Munich at the Delle Alpi with the winner going top of the group.
Amazingly, the two teams have never met in competition before despite their rich European tradition.
Serie A leaders Juve defeated Messina on Saturday to remain top of the heap in Italy, but Munich were defeated at home by Schalke over the weekend, not the result that Felix Magath wanted heading into this encounter.
Neither side has any suspended players, but Juve will be without the still-injured David Trezeguet and possibly striker Alessandro Del Piero, who is struggling with tendonitis.
Bayern have a trio of injury woes in Roque Santa Cruz (knee), Claudio Pizarro (back), and Alexander Zickler (leg). Also, neither team has anyone in danger of missing the next match if they are booked on Tuesday night.
There is another match in Group C on Sunday as Ajax play host to Maccabi Tel-Aviv, both in search of their first win of the Champions League season.
Much like Bayern and Juve, Ajax and Maccabi have never met prior to Tuesday and the Dutch will be desperate to overcome their 3-1 home loss to Heerenveen over the weekend.

Back in action on Tuesday night against a side he knows so well, Rafael Benitez will be hoping his team can collect all three points against a Deportivo side desperate to get a result in Anfield. Semi-finalists in the same competition last year, the Spaniards could have wished for a better start, as they only collected a point out of their first two games.
But since Deportivo’s humiliating 1-5 defeat against Valencia in the Spanish league, Deportivo have been unbeaten domestically, sealing their last two games with wins including a 1-0 win away to Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu.
But it will be far from easy for the Spanish outfit to tackle a Liverpool side, supported by a full Anfield stadium and more than confident after a convincing 2-4 win away to Fulham at the weekend in the Premiership.

MADRID, Oct 18 (SW) – After a horrendous start to the season, Real Madrid will look to cast away their doubters when they host Group B leaders Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Despite a comeback 4-2 win over AS Roma in their last Champions League game, that was the only time this season that Madrid have scored more than one goal in a game. Kiev are coming off of a 4-2 win of their own over Bayer Leverkusen on the last matchday.
Real Madrid will be without midfielder and free-kick specialist David Beckham, who fractured a rib in England’s World Cup qualifying match against Wales. Also missing is central defender Walter Samuel, who is suspended after picking up his second yellow card of the competition against Roma.
There is one huge absence for Dynamo Kiev, who will be without Latvia striker Maris Verpakovskis. Verpakovskis, like Samuel, received his second yellow card against Leverkusen and is suspended. They will enjoy the return of captain Vladimir Belkevich after a back injury.
In Germany, Bayer Leverkusen play host to group cellar dwellers Roma in what could be a make or break game for the Italians.
