MADRID, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Real Madrid are anxious to avoid the mistake they made in their previous Champions League meeting with Juventus when the two heavyweights go head-to-head again at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Tuesday.

Real's hopes of winning a 10th European crown ended two seasons ago when the Italians scored a crucial away goal as they went down 2-1 in the first leg of a semi-final in Madrid and then finished off the job with an efficient 3-1 win in Turin.

"The key thing is not to concede any goals at home this time," centre back Ivan Helguera told Marca newspaper before the last 16 knockout tie against the Italians.

"Even if we win just 1-0 that will do because then they will have to push forward in Turin and we can catch them out with our speedy forwards like Ronaldo."

After a miserable start to the season, a seven-match winning streak in the league under new coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo went a long way to restoring Real's shattered morale.

Although the run came to an end at the weekend when they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at home to Athletic Bilbao, Real can take some comfort from the fact that they were missing suspended full back Roberto Carlos and that Ronaldo, Raul and Zinedine Zidane were rested for most of the game.

"Despite Saturday's defeat we are in much better shape and working far harder now," Zidane told sports daily AS on Monday. "Luxemburgo has taken control of the team and knows what he wants and that's important."

The former Juventus player also believes that if Real can get past the Serie A side they will be able to go all the way and claim a trophy they have come to see as their own.

"This is a very, very important game because if we beat Juve we will do something really big in the Champions League this time. If we can beat them over two legs we can beat anyone."

If right back Michel Salgado recovers from a bruised thigh, Real will be at full strength for Tuesday's game.

Ronaldo is set to reclaim his place up front at the expense of Michael Owen, who was unable to add to his prolific scoring record during Saturday's defeat.

FORM DIP

Juve's season appears to have been a mirror-image of Real's.

The Italians, who are managed by former Real boss Fabio Capello, looked bullet-proof at the start of the campaign, but have suffered a worrying dip in form this month that has seen them fritter away an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

A 0-0 dull draw at lowly Messina on Saturday opened the door to title rivals AC Milan to now lead the standings on goal difference.

Capello has tried to shrug off his side's indifferent performance.

"We were unlucky," he said. "We created at least six good chances, but we weren't able to turn those into goals."

"It's just one of those times. The ball just doesn't want to go in the net, but I remain calm because physically we're in good shape."

His confidence will have been dented, however, after the team's best striker David Trezeguet was forced to withdraw from the 20-man squad after succumbing to 'flu.

His probable replacement, Alessandro Del Piero, gave a lively performance against Messina, but is a shadow of the player who played such a decisive role the last time Juve met Real.

The other star of that match, Pavel Nedved, is also expected to figure in the game, though what kind of form he is in remains uncertain.

The former European Player of the Year has not played a competitive match since suffering a knee injury against Brescia on January 23.

Probable teams:

Real Madrid: 1-Iker Casillas; 2-Michel Salgado, 6-Ivan Helguera, 19-Walter Samuel, 3-Roberto Carlos; 23-David Beckham, 6-Thomas Gravesen, 10-Luis Figo, 5-Zinedine Zidane; 7-Raul, 9-Ronaldo

Juventus: 1-Gianluigi Buffon; 19-Gianluca Zambrotta, 28-Fabio Cannavaro, 21-Lilian Thuram, 27-Jonathan Zebina; 11-Pavel Nedved, 20-Manuele Blasi, 8-Emerson, 16-Mauro Camoranesi; 10-Alessandro Del Piero, 9-Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Plymouth v Sheff Utd: Preview

PA

Defender Mathias Doumbe will miss Plymouth's match against Sheffield United following his dismissal at West Ham on Saturday.

Doumbe is banned after receiving a straight red card for bringing down Nigel Reo-Coker and conceding the penalty from which Teddy Sheringham scored the Hammers' final goal in their 5-0 win.

However, Argyle will be boosted by the return from suspension of skipper Paul Wotton, who can play in central defence or midfield.

Midfielder Lee Hodges (back) remains an injury doubt and was not included in the squad at Upton Park.

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock will recall Rob Kozluk to his squad for the trip.

The 27-year-old defender has recently returned from a loan spell at Preston and could be named among the substitutes.

All Warnock's players came through unscathed after holding Arsenal at Highbury in the fifth round of the FA Cup, but he could be tempted to make changes.

Striker Paul Shaw is pushing for a starting place at Home Park, while Alan Quinn and Danny Cadamarteri - unused subs on Saturday - will be hoping to play some part

Sunderland v Rotherham: Preview

PA

Mick McCarthy has strongly hinted he will select an unchanged line-up for the third game running when Sunderland face Rotherham, despite a disappointing defeat at the hands of Brighton.

"It's always tempting to change things after a defeat but is it the right way? I picked what I thought was my best team at Brighton and that doesn't change just because we've lost one game," McCarthy told the club's official website.

McCarthy was impressed with the performances of substitutes Sean Thornton and Chris Brown but is unlikely to hand them starting places. Thornton will miss Saturday's game against Cardiff through suspension.

"Sean got booked stupidly for diving and he will miss Saturday's game through suspension," McCarthy added. "So do I upset the applecart for just one game? Perhaps not, but it's one to think about."

Snow covers are in place on the Stadium of Light pitch and access routes to the ground will be cleared in a bid to ensure the game goes ahead despite the bitter north east weather.

Rotherham manager Alan Knill will select from an unchanged squad.

Rob Scott is back in full training following his recent shoulder injury, but the game is likely to come too soon for him.

Martin McIntosh is the only other confirmed absentee, with Paul Warne available.

The experienced striker has not featured since the 1-1 draw with Crewe on January 22.

Ipswich v Watford: Preview

PA

Ipswich striker James Scowcroft will definitely be available for the home clash with Watford.

The striker, on loan from Leicester until the end of the season, was booked in Friday's 1-1 draw at Preston, which marked his second debut for the club.

The yellow card he collected at Deepdale was his fifth of the season - he already had four against his name with the Foxes - and that means he is due to serve a one-game suspension.

After a weekend of confusion, Ipswich secretary Sally Webb explained: "James will definitely be available for the Watford game."

Ipswich are still hoping to have the caution rescinded, after match referee Matt Messias agreed to take a look at the incident on video.

Ipswich have named an unchanged squad, with skipper Jim Magilton due to start after being a substitute at Preston. Kevin Horlock or Darren Currie will make way. Leading scorer Shefki Kuqi misses out again through injury, while Jason De Vos and Ian Westlake trained on Monday after recovering from knocks.

Goalkeeper Richard Lee is due to make his first start for more than two months for Watford.

Lee has been out of action since fracturing a cheekbone in the defeat at Coventry on December 18, but has now recovered and should start, especially as on-loan keeper Paul Jones has returned to Wolves.

Johnnie Jackson is likely to keep his place in central midfield after agreeing to remain with the Hornets for a third month on loan from Tottenham.

QPR v Wolverhampton: Preview

PA

Tony Thorpe is unlikely to recover from a hamstring problem in time for QPR's home clash with Wolves.

The 30-year-old striker sustained the injury in the goalless draw at Millwall nine days ago, and the visit of Glenn Hoddle's men is likely to come too soon for him.

But QPR manager Ian Holloway has no other selection worries, with winger Gareth Ainsworth available despite missing the last two days' training with hamstring trouble.

Skipper Paul Ince is expected to return to the Wolves starting line-up.

Midfielder Ince missed Saturday's 2-2 draw with Gillingham at Molineux as he served a one-game suspension.

Almost certain to miss out in London are Mark Kennedy, who is carrying an Achilles tendon injury, and full-back Mark Clyde, who has fallen victim to a knee problem.

Strike-duo Vio Ganea and George Ndah will also be absent as they continue their recoveries from respective cruciate knee ligament and thigh injuries.

Crewe v Reading: Preview

PA

Crewe defender Stephen Foster is likely to overcome injury in time to face Reading at Gresty Road.

The 24-year-old has been struggling with a knee problem and did not train over the weekend, but is expected to line-up alongside Colin Murdock against the Royals.

Adie Moses (hamstring) and Billy Jones (thigh) miss out again but are both expected to return to full training at the end of the week and could come into contention for the trip to Plymouth.

Veteran defender Martin Keown is a doubt for Reading.

Keown has missed the last two games with a knee injury but has responded well to treatment and will undergo a late fitness check.

Leading scorer Dave Kitson will continue in attack after coming through 90 minutes for the first time in two months following a knee injury and should continue alongside veteran striker Les Ferdinand, who scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 defeat by Coventry at the weekend.

Gillingham v West Ham: Preview

PA

Gillingham manager Stan Ternent is likely to name an unchanged team for the home match against play-off hopefuls West Ham.

Ternent has no new injury or suspension worries and should stick with the XI that started Saturday's 2-2 draw with Wolves at Molineux.

Danny Spiller, who has recently recovered from a cracked fibula, came on as a substitute in the final minutes at Wolves and the midfielder is again set to be on the bench against Alan Pardew's team.

The Gills are four points adrift of safety and desperately need to defeat the Londoners to breathe new life into their hopes of survival.

West Ham could be without three players.

Midfielders Hayden Mullins and Mark Noble and forward Sergei Rebrov all suffered injuries during the 5-0 triumph over Plymouth at the weekend and are struggling.

"Rebrov's probably the biggest doubt," said Pardew. "We think he's strained his calf."

Rebrov's place would probably go to Nigel Reo-Coker as the Hammers aim to register a third consecutive Championship win for the first time this season.

Victory would also consolidate the east Londoners' position in the play-offs, which was regained thanks to the win against Argyle.

Cardiff v Millwall: Preview

PA

Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence will name an unchanged team for the visit of Millwall to Ninian Park.

There could, however, be a place on the substitutes bench for teenage striker Cameron Jerome.

He recently returned to full-time training after recovering from the back injury he picked up in the 1-1 draw at Leeds.

The only player unavailable to Lawrence is full-back Gary Croft, who remains sidelined following major knee surgery.

Millwall manager Dennis Wise welcomes back David Livermore.

The midfielder missed the home defeat by Stoke due to suspension, but he has now completed the one-game ban and is available for the trip.

Midfielder Peter Sweeney could make his first start since January 8 after coming on as a substitute after an hour against Stoke, while captain Kevin Muscat could also return after missing Saturday's match with an Achilles problem
-----------------
Bristol City v Oldham: Preview

PA

Bristol City player-boss Brian Tinnion will be without defender Craig Ireland for the visit of Oldham.

The Scotsman has been recalled from his loan spell by struggling Peterborough, although City are still trying to make the move permanent.

Scott Murray and Clayton Fortune remain doubtful after missing the 2-0 win at Colchester on Saturday.

However, Tinnion and defender Jamie Smith are available again after suspension.

Scott Vernon has been ruled out for Oldham after breaking his nose.

The Latics striker was replaced in the closing stages of Saturday's home defeat to lowly Stockport after being kicked in the face.

But an X-ray allayed initial fears the 13-goal forward had fractured his cheekbone and he is not expected to be sidelined for long.

Boss Brian Talbot has drafted Wes Wilkinson and Matthew Wolfenden into his squad, while fit-again Chris Killen is expected to start after coming through unscathed against Stockport.

Striker John Eyre misses out due to several minor ailments, but on-loan midfielder Neil Kilkenny is available despite sustaining his fifth booking on Saturday.

The Birmingham winger will miss the trip to Huddersfield at the weekend instead.

Luton v Walsall: Preview

PA

Luton have no new injury worries for their home match with Walsall as they look to build on a seven-point lead at the top of League One.

Manager Mike Newell will choose from the same squad that travelled to Bradford to record a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

Defender Paul Underwood (hamstring) has resumed training but will not be fit in time.

Long-term casualty Paul Hughes (illness) is still unavailable.

Walsall player-manager Paul Merson is sweating on the fitness of striker Marvin Robinson ahead of the trip.

Robinson missed the 0-0 draw against Milton Keynes Dons with a groin problem, although Michael Standing could return after illness and a hamstring problem.

But midfielder Mark Kinsella (ankle) and goalkeeper Richard McKinney (knee) have both been ruled out.

Tranmere v Huddersfield: Preview

PA

Tranmere manager Brian Little could rejig his formation with three key players returning from suspension against Huddersfield.

Top-scorer Iain Hume, Mark Rankine and Ryan Taylor all missed Rovers' 1-1 draw with Colchester on Saturday.

Taylor's return could see Little revert to a 3-4-3 formation for the clash at Prenton Park.

Simon Haworth is still suffering with leg pain and fellow striker Calvin Zola remains sidelined because of a residency problem.

Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson is sweating over the availability of Chris Brandon ahead of the trip following his dismissal on Saturday.

The club launched an appeal against the midfielder's straight red card in the win over Blackpool for "denying a goalscoring opportunity".

Town have appealed on the grounds that Brandon had his shirt pulled first and boss Jackson will learn only hours before kick-off whether an automatic one-match ban has been overturned. Danny Schofield is on standby.

Striker Pawel Abbott returns from suspension to partner on-loan Luke Beckett up front, with John McAliskey making way.

Young defender Nathan Clarke is doubtful after taking a knock in the face on Saturday and has been unable to train due to blurred vision.

If Clarke fails to make it, Jackson must decide whether to play Steve Yates against his former club or draft in Efe Sodje.
-------------
Southend v Shrewsbury: Preview

PA

Southend manager Steve Tilson has no fresh injury concerns as he prepares his side for the clash with Shrewsbury.

Goalkeeper Bart Griemink is unlikely to feature although he is nearing a recovery from his knee ligament injury.

Craig Holloway, who is on loan from Conference strugglers Farnborough, will provide cover for Darryl Flahavan.

Jay Smith is out of the rest of the season with an Achilles problem.

Shrewsbury boss Gary Peters has only one injury doubt surrounding ahead of the match at Roots Hall.

Defender Stuart Whitehead received a knock to his head during Saturday's 4-2 win against Kidderminster and will be replaced by Darren Tinson should he fail to recover in time.

Sam Aiston received his fifth booking at the weekend and plays his last game before starting a one-match suspension.

Kidderminster v Bristol Rovers: Preview

PA

Kidderminster striker Iyesden Christie is poised for a recall for the visit of Bristol Rovers.

Christie has been troubled by complications associated with a broken foot sustained before he joined Harriers from Mansfield in August.

But after coming through a behind-closed-doors practice match, the 28-year-old marksman could be in line for his first senior appearance since the 2-0 defeat at the Memorial Stadium in October.

Gary Birch is sidelined with knee cartilage problems and Dean Keates is ruled out by a shoulder injury.

Lee Jenkins is struggling to recover from an ankle knock in time and Reuben Hazell is not expected to be risked despite his continuing recovery from knee surgery.

Bristol Rovers defender John Anderson has returned to full fitness and is in the frame to play some part.

The former Hull player, who has recovered from illness, came on for the closing stages of Saturday's 1-1 draw with Boston.

Ryan Williams was suffering from the same virus after the game, but should be fit to play.

Darlington v Swansea: Preview

PA

Darlington manager Dave Hodgson is hopeful Ryan Valentine and Neil Maddison will recover from a virus in time to play against Swansea.

The duo have been hampered by a virus over the last couple of days, but are expected to play.

Defender Craig Liddle is expected to shake off a calf knock that he pick up in the 1-1 draw against Wycombe on Saturday.

Swansea manager Kenny Jackett is poised to name the same squad.

Striker James Thomas retains his place on the bench after recovering from injury and Adrian Forbes, who made his return from a knee injury in the 0-0 draw with Grimsby, is set to start despite coming off on Saturday.

Former Southampton defender Garry Monk completes a three-match suspension.

The Darlington pitch will undergo a Tuesday morning pitch inspection following heavy snowfall.

Mansfield v Wycombe: Preview

PA

Mansfield midfielder Simon Brown will be missing from the starting line-up for the home clash with Wycombe as he serves the third game of a four-match ban.

Centre-half Rhys Day has returned to training after an ankle injury but the Welshman is not expected to be risked.

Defender Scott McNiven is also back in harness after being given the all-clear following testicular cancer, but he too will play no part.

Left-back Adam Eaton remains on the sidelines while recovering from surgery to repair a fractured pelvis, and Dave Artell has been ruled out with an Achilles injury.

Wycombe manager John Gorman is expected to field an unchanged side.

Gorman has no new injuries or suspensions to contend with in the wake of his side's 1-1 with Darlington at the weekend.

Striker Nathan Tyson could return to the squad after sitting out Saturday's match with a hamstring injury.

Rochdale v Northampton: Preview

PA

Wayne Evans, Alan Goodall and Ernie Cooksey will all return to Rochdale's squad for the visit of Northampton.

Defender Evans and midfielder Cooksey return from suspension and are expected to replace Daryl Burgess and Jamie Clarke respectively, while Goodall has recovered from flu.

But boss Steve Parkin is sweating over the fitness of leading goalscorer Grant Holt.

The 21-goal striker sustained a dead leg in the 3-0 defeat at Macclesfield on Saturday and is rated doubtful.

Northampton manager Colin Calderwood faces a selection dilemma, with four strikers available to fill two spaces.

Scott McGleish and Eric Sabin started up front against Southend but on-loan strikers Danny Crow and Stuart Noble are both in contention for their first starts after coming on as substitutes in the 2-1 defeat.

Calderwood will select the same squad from the weekend as defender Ashley Westwood is still doubtful with the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last three games.

Josh Low (groin), David Galbraith (calf) and Marc Richards (knee) remain long-term casualties.

Grimsby v Chester: Preview

PA

Grimsby are waiting on the fitness of John McDermott ahead of the clash with Chester at Blundell Park.

The Mariners captain was a late withdrawal from Saturday's game at Swansea with a hamstring injury and will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness.

Manager Russ Slade's only other worries concern Jason Crowe and Justin Whittle, who made their comebacks from injury at the Vetch Field and will be tested to check on any reaction.

Slade may also decide to keep a five-man defence after the system worked well at Swansea, which would mean Whittle, Simon Ramsden and Terrell Forbes again forming the core of the backline.

Chester manager Ian Rush will be without four key players for the six-pointer.

Skipper Paul Carden (neck) and defender Phil Bolland (ankle) both picked up injuries in the 2-0 defeat by Yeovil, while Darren Edmondson was sent off in the closing stages and misses out through suspension.

Striker Michael Branch remains on the sidelines with a hamstring problem that kept him out of the Glovers clash.

Assistant boss Mark Aizlewood is refusing to be downhearted and said: "That's football and we've just got to get on with it."

Yeovil v Scunthorpe: Preview

PA

League Two leaders Yeovil are boosted by the return from suspension of star defender Terry Skiverton for the top-of-the-table clash with Scunthorpe.

Glovers skipper Skiverton makes a timely return after sitting out the 2-0 win at Chester as Colin Miles suffered a knee injury in the victory at the Deva Stadium.

Miles was replaced midway through the first half by on-loan Bristol City defender Kevin Amankwaah.

Yeovil are boosted by the return to fitness of utility player Paul Terry and defender Adam Lockwood.

Scunthorpe midfielder Richard Kell is suspended after receiving his fifth booking of the season in last Tuesday's defeat at Wycombe.

Boss Brian Laws is expected to promote Cleveland Taylor from the bench to the right side of midfield and switch Matt Sparrow into the middle.

Striker Andy Keogh is pushing for a start after stepping off the bench to fire the winner against Leyton Orient on Saturday, as is midfielder and fellow new signing Wayne Corden.

Leyton Orient v Lincoln City: Preview

PA

Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling will be without skipper Gary Alexander for the visit of Lincoln.

The 25-year-old striker was sent off for using an elbow in the 1-0 defeat at Scunthorpe on Saturday and sits out the game through suspension.

Matt Lockwood could also miss out as the defender has been struggling with flu, but Ling otherwise has a full squad from which to choose.

John Mackie plays his last game before serving a one-match ban for receiving five cautions.

Lincoln manager Keith Alexander will choose from an unchanged squad for the trip to Brisbane Road.

Paul Morgan has suffered no ill effects from the head injury he sustained on Saturday, and is set to continue in the same four-man defence that Alexander has favoured in the last two games.

Gareth McAuley, Ben Futcher and Nathan Peat remain on the injured list, while Ciaran Toner is still suspended by the club following his training-ground fracas with Marcus Richardson, who has been loaned to Rochdale.

Alexander has agreed a fee with Boston for defender Lee Beevers, but says the move is "highly unlikely" to go through in time for the game.

Rushden & D'monds v Bury: Preview

PA

Rushden & Diamonds centre-back Graham Allen is a major doubt for the visit of Bury.

Allen landed awkwardly on his back during the 1-1 draw with Notts County and had to be replaced by John Dempster at half-time.

Dempster, who came though the second half unscathed after initially being doubtful for the game with a leg injury, is likely to start in Allen's place.

Striker Adrian Littlejohn is still struggling with a knee injury, whilst caretaker manager Barry Hunter will continue with on-loan Coventry goalkeeper Scott Shearer after he impressed against the Magpies.

Bury manager Graham Barrow is likely to have an unchanged squad.

Chris Porter is currently at Lilleshall having his knee injury assessed and will definitely miss out, while Barrow will also have to make do without Dwayne Mattis, Matt Barrass and Terry Dunfield (all knee).

However, Lee Unsworth (knee) and Jon Newby (groin) both came through the 2-0 defeat by Mansfield and will be available at Nene Park. (Soccernet, Reuters=

Liverpool v Bayer Leverkusen

Liverpool will be under-strength for the first leg of their Champions League tie on Tuesday versus Bayer Leverkusen.

Skipper Steven Gerrard is suspended and Fernando Morientes and Mauricio Pellegrino are both cup tied.

Harry Kewell is likely to return after recovering from an Achilles injury, but there is also a doubt over Neil Mellor who has a knee injury.

Leverkusen will be without hugely influential defender Jens Nowotny after he sustained a knee ligament injury.

The captain picked up the knock in his club's 4-2 win over FC Nuremberg at the weekend and there are fears it could end his career.

And with Brazilian defender Roque Junior also ruled out, 20-year-old Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker in may be drafted in.

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez faces a headache in attack.

Milan Baros is the only recognised front-line striker in his squad with Morientes out, long-term injuries ruling out Djbril Cisse and Florent Sinama-Pongolle and a question mark over Mellor's fitness.

That list of absentees is offset by Kewell's return to first-team consideration for the first time since mid-December.

Benitez has hinted that the Australian will start, although another option may see him start with Vladimir Smicer as a second striker behind Baros with Kewell on the bench.

Youngster Anthony Le Tallec, having recently cut short his loan spell in France, is also pushing for a place and the chance to redeem himself after previously leaving Benitez unimpressed with his temperament.

Liverpool (from): Dudek, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Traore, Kewell, Hamann, Biscan, Riise, Luis Garcia, Smicer, Baros, Carson, Warnock, Josemi, Le Tallec, Nunez, Raven, Welsh, Mellor, Potter, Whitbread.

Bayern Munich v Arsenal

Arsenal's Ashley Cole faces a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of the club's Champions League match against Bayern Munich

The England left-back has missed two matches with a virus, and while he is back in training doubts remain over his match fitness.

Edu has recovered from a hamstring injury and is set to be reunited in central midfield with Patrick Vieira.

Bayern's Michael Ballack has failed to overcome a thigh injury and misses out.

The midfielder missed his side's 5-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at the weekend because of a thigh muscle strain which he is still struggling to shake it off.

England international Owen Hargreaves is expected to deputise, although Argentine Martin Demichelis offers a more defensive option.

Cole's return would boost Arsenal's rearguard which will be missing Sol Campbell due to a twisted ankle.

"Ashley is travelling but he is still not great," manager Arsene Wenger said. "He has been in bed for a week and was a bit flat in training. He is still a bit short in his fitness."

Right-back Justin Hoyte is still out with an ankle injury while recent signing Emmanuel Eboue is not eligible for Champions League duty and Dennis Bergkamp, who does not fly, has not made the trip.

CL Preview: PSV-Monaco
TEAM NEWS

Hiddink has been given a triple injury boost the recovery of Johann Vogel (back), John de Jong (ankle) and Phillip Cocu (illness). Mark van Bommel is still a doubt despite sitting out of Saturday’s 4-1 win against NEC Nijmegen. Brazilian striker Robert, who was signed in January, is yet to play much of a part at PSV but could be thrown in at the deep end and partner Jan Venegoor of Hesselink, who is in a rich vein of form with seven goals in five games.

On the other hand Deschamps has three injury concerns with Sebastien Squillaci struggling with an ankle injury. Diego Perez and Javier Chevanton are both also doubtful. Monaco go into the match on the back of a hard fought draw with French league leaders Lyon, which preserved their unbeaten record that spans from November.

PROBABLE STARTING LINE-UPS

PSV Eindhoven: Gomes; Ooijer, Alex, Wilfred Bouma, Young-Pyo Lee; van Bommel, Vogel, Cocu; Ji-Sung Park, Vennegoor of Hesselink, Farfan.

Monaco: Roma; Maicon, Rodriguez, Givet, Evra, Zikos, Bernardi, Kallon, Plasil, Saviola, Adebayor. (Reuters, Goal com, 90 min)
