Fremad Amager - Køge
Two challengers for a promotioning position meet up in a very important match at Sundby Idrætspark. Fremad Amager started the second half of the season fine by defeating B.93 2-1 in an away-match where they should have scored even more goals.
“We played a splendid first half, after which we should have lead 5-0 or 6-0,” captain Martin Nielsen claimed after the match, while (new) coach, Benny Johansen, was a bit more modest: “We should have won this match 4-1,” he said after the match.
However, Fremad collected three points which now makes them even at 27 points with Køge, who started 2005 with a 1-1 draw against Vejle.
Køge have been struck hardly with injuries this year, and nothing less than seven players are injured and doubtful – all with injuries concerning their ankles! “I haven’t seen anything like this before,” coach Greg Rioch claims.
Jamie Tandy will be out for several weeks, while Mads Olsen, Allan Nielsen and Søren Nielsen remains doubtful. Ronnie Bendtsen and Stephan Petersen are not expected to be fit.
Especially the Køge midfield seems to be hit hard by the injuries, but Greg Rioch insures that Køge are still aiming for a top spot in the league table.
This will probably be a quite even match, but with the many Køge-injuries taken into consideration – along with the fact that Fremad Amager haven’t lost a home match yet – I find value in the 2,85 odds offered by Dansk Tipstjeneste.
